FORGE FC vs FC EDMONTON
A showdown right off the bat between the teams that finished second and third during the spring schedule.
Forge FC went 6-3-1 and scored 15 goals, second only to the 16 netted by first-place finishers Cavalry FC.
Edmonton FC was 4-4-2 and scored just eight goals but closed strongly with three straight wins. Forge FC blanked Edmonton FC 2-0 at home during the spring season.
HFX WANDERERS FC vs YORK9 FC
If history is any indication, then a draw is the play here. In two meetings during the spring season, both ended in ties - 1-1 at Halifax and 0-0 in York.
The Wanderers are 4-2-2 in their last eight games. A 3-1 win over Valour FC on July 1 enabled York to bring to a halt a 331-minute scoreless drought. York was shutout six times during the spring schedule.
PACIFIC FC vs CAVALRY FC
A 3-1 home verdict for Pacific FC in the spring schedule farewell allowed them to pay off as a 5.08 underdog and was just the second loss suffered by Cavalry FC.
It was a rough match that produced three red cards. With the result, Pacific FC avoided a basement finish but can they produce a similar outcome when the match isn't as meaningless to Cavalry FC?
