Premier League Picks: Chelsea vs Tottenham Odds, Prediction and Live Score

Premier League Picks: Chelsea vs Tottenham Odds, Prediction and Live Score
Tottenham visit a ground that they have not won on since 1990. They had a 2-0 lead at Stamford Bridge last season before Chelsea stormed back with two second half goals that ended Spurs' title hopes. Then all hell broke loose.

My Team's Next MatchChelsea

Tottenham were just sent crashing out of the Champions League. When the groups were initially drawn, most educated footy observers would have made Spurs' the likely winners of their group, so Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Monaco comes as a huge disappointment and a stark indicator that this team has regressed from last season, when you could argue they were the best team in England.

So from a crazy high last weekend against West Ham to a depressing low mid week, leads Pochettino's men into Stamford Bridge for the late fixture on Saturday when they face Antonio Conte's Chelsea, who are shredding their competition.

Chelsea vs Tottenham odds on BODOG

Chelsea vs Tottenham odds on BODOG

Having won 6 consecutive Premier League games, Chelsea have outscored their opponents 17-0. It is a team effort in the purest sense as everyone does a job (or two) and does it well. With no other commitments, Chelsea can game plan, rest and then execute. This luxury has helped vault the Blues to the top of the table.

Chelsea vs Tottenham prediction

This will be Chelsea's toughest test since switching to 3-4-3. They have found a winning formula, where as Tottenham has lost theirs

BET CHELSEA @ -135 AT BODOG. It won't be easy but Chelsea, firing on all cylinders, has too many ways to beat their opponents. If you try to balance the field, Eden Hazard will have lots of space to operate in. If you gang up on the left side than Victor Moses creates all the same problems on the right. If defenders get dragged out wide then Pedro and Diego Costa have space to create chances in the box. And every time Chelsea attack there are at least 3 players in the box looking to capitalize and somehow it does not leave them vulnerable defensively.

Spurs on the other hand have some clear issues. Without the injured Toby Alderweireld, their best defender, they can't keep clean sheets, or deny scoring chances to their opponent. Danny Rose will also be out on Saturday. Up front the only threats are Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min. The well has gone dry for Erik Lamela, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, who punished teams last season.

Tottenham don't pose enough problems to crack a solid team and Chelsea pose more problems than they are equipped to deal with at the moment. No need to over think this one.

I recommend a 1 unit play on Chelsea.

A heated London Rivalry

These organizations don't like one another. These sets of fans despise one another.

It is tribalism at it's finest. Unfortunately for Tottenham supporters this is a rivalry that hasn't provided them much joy. In 2012 when Chelsea won the Champions League, to add insult to injury they knocked Tottenham out of the competition the following season because there could not be 5 English teams.

Spurs' finished 4th place in the Premier League that year but since Chelsea were the reigning champions with an automatic spot but finished 6th that season, they took the place of the 4th place team, their cross town rival.

One of Mourinho's most important signings in his title winning Chelsea side was Willian, a player who was flown into to London to do a medical and sign for Tottenham, but at the last minute changed his mind and decided to come to Chelsea instead. Chelsea fans made a song about it.

That same Chelsea that won the title 2 years ago the first beat Tottenham in the Capital One Cup final. There's a song about that to.

It was Chelsea's comeback last year that clinched the title for Leicester and sent Tottenham into an end of season downward spiral that they are still yet to recover from.
