      NHL Scoring Race: Canadian Skaters Dominate

      A quick look at the NHL 2011-12 scoring race shows just how much of a melting pot the National Hockey League has become. Players in the top 15, when it comes to point production in the National Hockey League this season, hail from six different countries. It's Canada's game and Canadian born players still dominate.

      Canada still leads the way with seven players on the list. Sweden has three has three Top 15 scorers, Russia has two, while the USA, Czech Republic, and Slovakia are represented by one skater.

      Canada Battles Russia For The Art Ross Trophy

      One of the tightest races in puck action this season has been the race for the Art Ross Trophy – awarded annually to the top scorer in the NHL. Top Canadian players, Steven Stamkos, Claude Giroux, and Jason Spezza, have been battling Russian born skater Evgeni Malkin throughout the long NHL 2011-12 campaign.
