Dodgers and Nationals return as top National League chalk

Looking back one year ago, Los Angeles (+300) was sitting as top chalk to win the National League pennant while Washington (+352) was a close second. Those teams have swapped perches as the Nationals, who added Max Scherzer to an already stacked pitching staff, are now the top favorites to win the National League Pennant and the 2015 MLB World Series. The Dodgers enjoyed a very productive winter as they got considerably younger through a series of moves that stand to make them even better than they were last season. The Chicago Cubs have seen their World Series price drop from +4440 in 2014 to +1000 as we head into spring training. That makes the North Siders the third overall NL favorite but we still consider the young Cubbies as a long-shot at best.

Red Sox and Angels head a shaken up American League Pennant futures betting board

Boston had a busy off-season as well and they are tied with the Anaheim Angles as top contenders in the American League. After that though, the shake-up is immense as high ranking 2014 favorites Detroit, Texas, New York and Oakland have all fallen back. The Mariners and White Sox, who had +1400 and +2600 World Series odds last year, are tied as third favorites while 2014 AL top chalk Detroit has slide to fifth overall - just ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays who are positioned sixth. Houston has seen the biggest price change as their odds drop from an astronomical +10300 last season to just +2800 this year. We still strongly advise against backing the young Astros.

World Series Futures Bets: Feeling fairly confident that the World Series trophy is going to stay in the National League, we are backing what should be the two best pitching rotations in the Majors this season. Give us the Dodgers and Nationals to win the 2015 MLB Fall Classic, with a 300 unit wager on both teams, using the futures odds posted on the betting board at SportsInteraction.
