More than 2 million people are actually planning to search for aliens at Area 51
With September right around the corner, most of us out there are counting down the days for the NFL and college football seasons to officially get here. It’s quite arguably the best time of the year. Fall is so beautiful.
Non-sports fans look forward to the leaves changing and much more, while millions of people are planning to storm Area 51 in Lincoln County, Nevada to try and unearth hidden secrets about aliens and UFOs.
Wait, what in the world? Yup. As many of you out there have seen, more than two million people have signed up to head to Area 51 on Sept. 20. This all started with a Facebook event titled “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.”

In addition to the two million people who have pledged their intentions to head to Lincoln County, more than one million people have said they’re interested in attending the event.
Nothing screams mid-September like hunting for UFO/alien information. Forget football, it’s time to go toe-to-toe with aliens? Wowzer.
“I cannot believe it’s gotten this much attention,” Lincoln County Sheriff Kerry Lee told CNN’s Lauren M. Johnson. “We deal with this on a weekly basis, but nothing to this scale.”
