NHL Playoff Predictions: Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers Game 5

NHL Playoff Predictions: Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers Game 5

Oilers at Ducks NHL Playoffs Game 4 Review: Ducks 4-3 (OT)

Although we underestimated the Edmonton vs Anaheim total goal count, for a second straight match, we cashed our Game 4 total goal ticket. It looked this match would land on five goals but the Oilers tied the contest at 3-3 with just 1:42 left in regulation time. The Ducks playoff experience was on display again though as Anaheim potted the winner just 45 seconds into overtime. Down -255 units, through the first two fights, we are back in black as our balance is now plus 145 units.

NHL Western Conference Semifinal Series Game 5 Preview: Edmonton @ Anaheim

Appearing to be "who we thought they were" Anaheim basically annihilated Edmonton at Rogers Place Arena as the Ducks scored two straight wins vs the Oilers. After falling behind 2-0, in the first period of Game 4, Ryan Getzlaf & Crew pounded 21 pucks on goal in the second frame and took a 3-2 lead. Edmonton tied it up with Cam Talbot on the bench but Anaheim ended the game early in extra time. Game 5 is huge but the Ducks may have won the most important match of this series.

Sounding like a broken record, the Ducks are dominating the Oilers in the faceoff circle as Anaheim now has a 157-104 edge in that game controlling area. Not to overstate the obvious but teams can’t score without the puck and Anaheim has been marvellous at keeping the biscuit away from Edmonton. On top of that, the young Alberta Lads look to be wearing down against the “heavy" style of play the SoCal Crew lays on teams. The Ducks will not lose a third straight duel at home.

100 Units Anaheim -1.5 (+210) Puck Line William Hill

NHL Playoff Picks Today – May 5, 2017 – 100 Units Anaheim -1.5 (+210) Puck Line Wager @ William Hill. Both teams head into this matchup facing a myriad of mantras. Edmonton let a 2-0 series lead slip away but know they can win in Disneyland. Anaheim was 8-0-1 at home before they lost the first two contests in this series. A three-peat would put the Ducks in a bind when the scene shifts back to Alberta for Game Six. Edmonton has Anaheims' full attention and we feel they will take care of business at the Duck Pond tonight. Lay the -1.5 (+210) puck line price at William Hill.

Ducks vs Oilers OT Wager 2017-05-06 at 12.01.04 AM MT

Game Five Update: LIVE betting at William Hill is awesome! After Anaheim fought back from a late 3-0 deficit, with three goals in three minutes, we backed the experienced Ducks at home in OT. Although the price was expensive, a 163-unit wager on the (-163) money line returned our 100 units we lost on our pre-game wager. Savvy bankroll management is a huge handicapping key and LIVE NHL playoff wagering can set up guaranteed winners, protect wagers and / or eliminate potential losses. Our thoughts and picks for Game Six of this series will be posted on May 7, 2017.

NHL Western and Eastern Conference Stanley Cup Futures Betting Update

Turning to the Canada Sports Betting Stanley Cup futures board, the Western Conference lines have changed following the Ducks Game 4 win – though not as much as we thought they would. Nashville (+333) who are top chalk in the West, can put away the Blues if the Predators win in St. Louis tonight. Edmonton’s line dropped to (+500) but, somewhat surprisingly, the Oilers are still priced better than Anaheim as the Ducks are carrying a (+700) money line price. Don’t waste any dough on the Blues (+2500) underdog odds as they will be hitting the golf course very soon.

Pittsburgh remains as overall chalk with a (-260) money line. Thanks to a pair of home wins, New York has passed Ottawa as the Rangers (+700) are now fifth favorites while the Senators (+1000) are sinking. Washington needs to win three in a row vs the Pens and we feel the Capitals (+1000) NHL Championship odds should be even bigger. The Ducks and Rangers tying up their series has breathed life back in our Nashville + New York + Anaheim pre-series parlay ticket so we are standing pat of our futures picks at this point. Whether your want to bet on LIVE game action, the semifinal series winners, or the eventual NHL Stanley Cup Champion, top ranked sportsbooks recommended here are CSB have puck fans covered throughout the exciting MHL postseason.
