NHL Picks & Pucklines Tonight
Will The Canucks Finally Win Against The Jets?
Vancouver will welcome the return of Bo Horvat this evening, but they’ll be up against a team they rarely defeat. The Winnipeg Jets have lost once against their western Canada rivals over the past few years, feasting on Canucks goaltending in the process.
The Canucks look forward to welcoming Horvat back into the fold. Without Bo, Vancouver’s dropped to 13 points out of the playoffs. Winnipeg survived injuries to Byfuglien and Scheifele to rise into a top-three position in the western conference, holding off the Blues for second place in the Central.

Canucks at Jets – Bet Jets Puckline (-1.5, +135)
The Canucks have suffered at the hands of the Jets over the past few years, as Vancouver’s lost eight of their last nine matches against Winnipeg. This year, the Jets have taken a pair of games by a combined score of 9-3. Winnipeg’s earned seven puckline wins during their 8-1 run over the Canucks, one of the most lopsided recent histories in the NHL. The Jets moneyline is -240, an expensive proposition. Since Winnipeg also has one of the best home records in the NHL, pick the Jets puckline.
Sharks at Ducks – Bet Anaheim SU (-175)
Anaheim’s battled their Northern California foes well lately, defeating the Sharks in seven of their last ten meetings. This season, the teams split a pair of close, one goal meetings at the Shark Tank. Tonight, San Jose visits the Duck Pond for the first time in the 2017-18 season. Bad timing, because they’ll be playing on less than 24 hours rest after defeating the Penguins 2-1. The Ducks enjoy home, rest and recent history advantages, favoring a straight up wager for Anaheim on Sunday night.
Golden Knights at Hurricanes – Bet Vegas SU (-150)
The Golden Knights assault on the league was temporarily halted by the Florida Panthers, who leveraged home and rest advantage to narrowly defeat Vegas. Vegas’ road trip continues in Carolina, who defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-1 last night. The Hurricanes would prefer to have more than a day rest before taking on the Golden Knights, but playing at home will mitigate the fatigue somewhat. Carolina defeated Vegas 3-2 in Sin City, one of the rare Golden Knights home losses. Expect Vegas to avenge last year’s loss.
Dirty Dangle Of The Night:
Anaheim Ducks Beat Puckline Against San Jose Sharks (-1.5, +180)
Three of the last four Anaheim victories have beaten the puckline, including big wins against Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. San Jose plays solid defensive hockey, but they’ll be fatigued after playing a ton of hockey last week. The NHL scheduling department burdened the Sharks with five games in seven days, concluding in Anaheim. Anaheim has a good chance of leveraging a favorable schedule for a two-goal victory over the Sharks.
