NHL Picks & Pucklines Tonight
Will The Jets Catch The Predators?
The Central Division race features the most difficult competition in the NHL. Four teams strive for a top-three spot in the Central, separated by only six points. Winnipeg’s turned into a heavyweight of the west, separating themselves from the fray due to consistent play regardless of injury.
Tonight, the Jets will have the opportunity to catch up with the Predators if they defeat the Colorado Avalanche. As one of the best home teams in the league, the Jets will be unlikely to lose on home ice against a limping opponent.

Avalanche at Jets – Bet Winnipeg Puckline (-1.5, +130)
Nathan MacKinnon will not return to the lineup tonight, so the Avalanche will need to find a way to once again fill the gap. They’ve earned two consecutive wins and collected points in five of ten games, maintaining their position on the playoff bubble. The Winnipeg Jets aren’t the team that Colorado wants to deal with tonight. When they last met on February 3rd, the Jets shut the Avalanche out with a 3-0 final result.
Winnipeg’s forward fleet will be too difficult to handle for the Avs, which makes the puckline (+130) a worthier wager than the straight up moneyline (-225).
Islanders at Hurricanes – Bet Carolina SU (-190)
Carolina’s ahead of the New York Islanders for the last eastern wildcard spot, enjoying a one-point cushion with a single game in hand. These Metro Division rivals have split their last ten meetings, but the last time they clashed in November resulted in a 4-2 Hurricanes win. The Isles feature superior offense, while the Hurricanes have allowed 37 fewer goals this season. Since Carolina enjoys home advantage, they should be able to earn a straight up win to maintain their lead over New York and Columbus in the playoff race.
Flyers at Blue Jackets – Bet Columbus SU (-145)
A horrendous slump kicked the Blue Jackets out of a top-three spot in the Metro Division, all the way down to a single point out of the playoffs. The Flyers have experienced a different trajectory, rising to third in the Metro after flirting with disaster during a November slump. Goalie Brian Elliott looked like the answer to Philly goaltending question, but the netminder had to undergo surgery to fix core muscles, forcing Philly to go with Neuvirth.
Columbus shows signs of breaking out after two lopsided wins in their last three games, so wager on the Blue Jackets eventually rising back to a top-three spot in the Metro, starting with tonight’s game against the Flyers.

St. Louis Blues Win Straight Up Against Dallas Stars (+120)
St. Louis has the Stars number over the past few years, winning 11 of 14 regular season meetings while kicking Dallas out of the 2016 playoffs. The Blues already have two puckline victories against Dallas this season, and St. Louis beat Winnipeg on their own ice recently, showing the ability to play well in enemy territory.
The Stars recently dropped a 6-0 headscratcher against the Canucks five days ago, implying that Dallas won’t be at the top of their game this evening. A +120 moneyline makes a risk on the Blues worthwhile.
