NHL Picks & Pucklines Tonight
Will Toronto Transcend Injury And Fatigue?
Nearly every NHL team meets a rough spot during the regular season, enduring injury and a rough schedule which makes it nearly impossible to perform at a high level. The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the middle of their most challenging stretch of the season against a motivated Blue Jackets squad.
The Calgary Flames have kept up in the Pacific playoff race by improving their defense, but they’ve had difficulty playing well at home, which prevents them from reaching the top rung of the western conference standings. Calgary wants to turn this trend around against the powerful Blues.

Maple Leafs at Blue Jackets – Bet Columbus SU (-140)
Toronto’s in a tough spot against the Blue Jackets, flying to Columbus less than 24 hours after beating the Hurricanes at the Air Canada Centre. Columbus already enjoys a favorable record against the Leafs, winning six of their last eight meetings against Toronto. Auston Matthews is likely to miss another game, as rumors point to a return after Christmas. Columbus will take advantage of a fatigued and underpowered Leafs squad to earn the victory.
Blues at Flames – Bet St. Louis SU (-105)
The St. Louis Blues recently earned a lucky couple of points during a home-and-home against the Winnipeg Jets. St. Louis was dominated by Winnipeg in both games, but the Blues were saved by a record performance from backup goalie Carter Hutton. Calgary isn’t as good as the Jets at this point of the season, but the Flames have beaten the Blues in four of their last six meetings, including a 7-4 barnburner at the Saddledome. Both teams have better records on the road, which gives a slight edge to St. Louis tonight.
Red Wings at Flyers – Bet Philadelphia Puckline (-1.5, +145)
The Flyers went from being one of the worst teams in the NHL to the hottest over the past couple of weeks. Brian Elliot was named one of the three stars of the week for two weeks in a row, leading Philly to six straight wins. The Flyers did lose to Los Angeles to break the streak, but the Kings are one of the best road teams in the NHL this year. Detroit’s picked up their game a bit, carving a quick two-game win streak after a horrible couple of weeks, but the Red Wings have won only twice in their last seven against Philly. Select Philly’s puckline to increase your payout.
Dirty Dangle Of The Night
Columbus Blue Jackets Beat Puckline Against Toronto Maple Leafs (-1.5, +195)
Only one of the Blue Jackets last five wins against the Leafs was close, with the rest of the victories earned by a margin of two goals or better. Despite a recent drop in quality, the Blue Jackets remain one of the best teams in the eastern conference, capable of handling all competitors. Since the Leafs will be without Matthews and a proper amount of rest, Columbus is a good candidate to earn a two-goal victory at home.
