While the 2021 NHL entry draft isn't viewed as being as deep as the 2020 class, as with Alexis Lafreniere last season, there appears to be a consensus No. 1 - Michigan's Owen Power. The Wolverines freshman defenceman didn't look out of place playing with the men at the IIHF world championship, winning a gold medal skating for Canada, playing in the top defensive pairing. Power is almost certainly going to the Buffalo Sabres.
NHL Futures: Week 26 Odds Update
Stanley Cup Championship Week 26 Contenders
Torrid is not overstating the race for the 2011-18 NHL Presidents' Trophy as it has morphed into quite a battle. Losing three straight, for just the second time all season, Nashville has allow a two more teams into the fight for first overall. The Predators (48-16-11) still own the top perch but they lost three points week over week to Tampa Bay. The Lightning (51-20-4) who, up until last week were leading the way since Week 4, have moved to within one point of the Preds for the top spot.
Cooling some, Boston is on a 4-2-2- run, the Bruins (47-17-10) sit third and are just three points off the pace. Though the volume is cranked to max in Winnipeg, the Jets (46-19-10) do not get much national coverage as they have quietly crept to within five points of the first. A dark horse, though phenomenal for a first year franchise, Vegas (47-21-7) are six points back and round out the top five. We are still confident in our Week 3 and Week 12 Tampa Bay Conference and Cup calls.
Heading Into Week 26: Nashville vs Tampa Bay remains as our Stanley Cup Finals matchup.

26/03/18 Eastern Conference Championship Odds Update
Mirroring each other, the chase for first place in the NHL Eastern Conference continues to be a neck-and-neck battle between Tampa Bay and Boston. The Lightning are 7-3-0 over their last ten contests and lead the Bruins (6-2-2) by two points with the Beantown Crew holding one game in hand. An extra day has been added to the schedule as Boston and Florida will play their match that was cancelled due the 'Bomb Cyclone' that pummelled the East Coast back on January 4, 2018.
That extra game will be a sweet bonus battle to close the season. Toronto lost two points to the leaders as the Maple Leafs dropped a 4-3 decision to Tampa Bay on 20/03/18. We still feel the Leafs will be ready for the postseason under the skilful guidance of HC Mike Babcock. Washington and Pittsburgh round out the top five as the Capitals and Penguins are separated by three points in the Metropolitan Division. Columbus is on a 10-1-0 roll but we are not buying in on the Blue Jackets.
East Playoff Race: Tampa Bay is still available with a +230 best price at the Bet365 sportsbook.
Week Over Week: 18/03/18 to 26/03/18 Best Money Line Value
Odds Table Order: Teams are listed according to the current Eastern Conference standings.

26/03/18 Western Conference Championship Odds Update
Borrowing a quote from late New York Yankee MLB great Yogi Berra, ""It ain't over 'til it's over" is the new Western Conference mantra. Thanks to their three-game mini skid, Nashville is now just five points up on Winnipeg who were ten back during our Week 25 update. The Jets soared past Vegas into second place as the Golden Knights are six points behind the Predators. Smashville fans need not worry as the Preds are a stacked squad and may be conserving some fuel at this point.
With the three leaders all having seven games to play - it's easy to figure out that Nashville needs any combination of five wins or Jets losses to lock up home ice advantage in the postseason. Our feeling that San Jose was going to catch Vegas in the Pacific Division is going a little numb as the Sharks are fourth in the West - six points behind the Sin City Squad. That said, the Knights and Sharks tussle at T-Mobile Arena on 31/03/18 and we will be following the race with great interest.
Week Over Week: 18/03/18 to 26/03/18 Best Money Line Value
Odds Table Order: Teams are listed according to the current Western Conference standings.
Western Conference Title Price Changes: Week 26 @ 5:00 PM ET on March 26, 2018.
March Madness Morphs Into An Amazing April
Madness remains in the air as the NCAA Basketball National Championship chase has hit the Final Four. #1 Kansas vs #1 Villanova is a heavyweight Midwest vs East battle while #3 Michigan will face #11 Cinderella Loyola-Chicago in the West vs South title match. While we would love to watch the Wolverines cut down the nets for the first time since 1989, the Wildcats appear to be the cream of the crop. Live odds and tournament scoring is available around the clock on the CSB NCAAB futures page. The bookmakers in our table below, including SportsInteraction, are all over the Madness.
Just a few days behind puck action, the National Basketball Association is also in a frantic playoff stretch drive. Toronto has stumbled some recently, 2-3 over their last five, but the Raptors remain in the drivers seat with a 3.5 game lead on Boston in the Eastern Conference race. Five squads have clinched a playoff berth in the East but Houston and Golden State are the only teams invited to the dance in the West at this point. The Rockets have opened up a 5.5 game bulge on the wounded Warriors. Happy Spring as the MLB Boys Of Summer return on March 29, 2018 - so exciting!

The Tampa Bay Lightning are one win away from capturing their second straight Stanley Cup title. They lead the best-of-seven Cup final series against the Montreal Canadiens by a 3-0 count. In the Cup final for the first time in 28 years, Montreal has lost nine of 33 previous Stanley Cup final series. However, the Canadiens have only ever been swept in a final series one time in their history.
The Stanley Cup has gone through some unique firsts during the past two NHL seasons thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year's Cup final series didn't end until September. This year, with the launch of the regular season delayed until January, the Cup final series is stretching into July. One facet that hasn't changed, though, is that no matter when wagers are placed on the games, the bettors want to be certain that they are placing those wagers with the best betting sites for the Stanley Cup Finals.
