EPL Week 6 Predictions
Premier League Games This Weekend
Has Pep Guardiola finally come through on his promise and turned Manchester City into the unstoppable force that we all thought they could be? So far this season the Citizens are 6-1-0 in all competitions and have outscored their opponents 22-3. But before we gush over them lest we forget that just last season they began the campaign with a double digit win streak that ultimately led to nothing. Now Pep seems to have gotten the beginning of his seasons correct, but can he sustain the winning play throughout the marathon of a season, we shall see...
If Manchester City capitulate once again at some point do not be surprised and more importantly, as a bettor, be prepared to bet against them when the crisis looms it head.
English Premier League Picks Week 5
Everton vs Bournemouth
I feel pretty good about my preseason assessment of Everton being the "bad, good team". The team that has a very high level of talent and continuity that can beat all the lower teams but not any of the big boys. So far in 3 games against Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United they have lost all three of them by a combined score of 9-0. Albeit they showed some Stones (pun intended) by getting a point at the Etihad.
So now when the Cherries, who are 0-2 lifetime at Goodison come by this Saturday September 23rd at 10am I have confidence that the Toffees will capitalize as they should and beat a bad team. Bournemouth have yet to score away from home in the Premier League, albeit in only 2 games, and Everton have a very good defensive record at home.
Feels like a comfortable 3 points at home.
PICK: Everton (-154) available at William Hill
Leicester vs Liverpool
These 2 teams played midweek in the Carabao Cup and with both teams playing mostly reserves Leicester was able to advance 2-0. Though Liverpool controlled much of the play and Coutinho started the match, his efforts wound up for not.
Now at 12:30pm this Saturday the two teams get an encore at the King Power stadium and Leicester are a live dog. Liverpool are winless in four and Sadio Mane, who has been their best player in the early season, will be serving the final match of his domestic ban. Liverpool are not a confident bunch, and have lost their last 3 matches at the King Power.
The value rests with the home side.

Bundesliga: Dortmund vs Monchengladbach
It's the battle of the Borussia's in Germany this weekend.
And if you have a moment take a look at the Bundesliga standings and you'll notice that Borussia Dortmund sit atop the table with a 4-1-0 record having scored 13 goals and conceded none.
They are playing as well as anyone in Europe and it would behoove us to try and profit while they are this hot. Historically, Dortmund have had the best of this matchup at home particularly over the last few years going 13-1-1 in the last 15 matches they have hosted. If you have a multi game parlay, this would be the perfect anchor. But betting them on their own is just fine as well.
PICK: Dortmund HT/FT (+105) avalaible at Bet365
