EPL Week 2 Predictions
Premier League Games This Weekend
After week 1 of the English Premier League we already have our first narratives of the season. Is the title destined to wind up in Manchester by the end of the season and will it be going to the east or west side of the city? Or do Tottenham have unfinished business from these past two seasons that they finally finish? And just how big is the looming crisis for the defending Champions Chelsea?
English Premier League Picks Week 2
This week certainly give a little bit of clarity on the latter as Antonio Conte takes his thin squad across town to Wembley when the Spurs christen their new Wembley home.
Tottenham vs Chelsea
Sunday morning at 11am EST Spurs open their new, albeit temporary, era at Wembley as they wait on the construction of the new White Hart Lane.
The last time these two teams met it was at Wembley in last season's FA Cup semifinal, which Chelsea won 4-2. Tottenham want revenge and it feels like they will get it.
Chelsea who already lost Pedro for the start of the campaign, will be without 2 additional starters in captain Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas who were both handed red cards last weekend.
With a depleted squad the Champions were boosted by the return of Bakayoko and Eden Hazard to full practice but the return of one or both players to the starting lineup would be unlikely. The team they field Sunday will look somewhat odd to all interested.
And especially to Spurs who other than at right back, have their entire starting XI from last season, and the continuity and style of this squad should make this an easy W against an ailing Blues.
The Crisis talks are about to be turned up to full volume.

Swansea vs Manchester United
The Swans completed the sale of their best player Gylfi Sigurdsson this week to Everton. Last weekend at Saints they escaped with a point in a nil-nil draw where they failed to register a shot on target. They will not be so lucky this weekend.
Saturday morning at 7:30am EST Jose Mourinho in his second season with Manchester United will be looking to go on one of his patented early season runs.
He did it with Chelsea multiple times, and looking at their early season schedule it is not unfathomable that they go into October having not dropped any points.
They looked awesome against West Ham in Week 1; powerful, fast and overwhelming. Is this team ready to compete with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, perhaps not, but this team is built to destroy to below average Premier League competition.

Huddersfield vs Newcastle
Newly appointed Huddersfield were the winners of week 1 going to Selhurst Park and dispatching of Crystal Palace. But Newcastle and Rafa Benitez will be well equipped to handle their opening home game having played them twice in the Championship last season.
They split those two league meetings with each team winning at home and both games going over 2.5 goals. But this is the top flight and points will be all too crucial for sides like this just looking to stay up. Goals will be at a premium on a Sunday and Huddersfield, already with 3 in the bag, can live with a stalemate as will the Geordies.
PICKS: Draw (+210) and Under 2.5 goals (-163) on William Hill
