Arizona vs Colorado: Diamondbacks Look for a Sweep of the Rockies

Arizona vs Colorado: Diamondbacks Look for a Sweep of the Rockies

Arizona Diamondbacks: Still have a shot at a .500 record

Although it will take four straight wins, including three against the Houston Astros, Arizona has a chance to finish the season with an 81-81 record. The Diamondbacks have been fairly hot as they have posted an 8-4 recent record and they have won three straight games. Arizona has outscored Colorado by a 109-80 margin en-route to their 12-6 winning record versus the Rockies this season. Those numbers include the Diamondbacks 55-28 margin of victory in games played at Chase Field.

Colorado Rockies: Long MLB 2015 season crawls to a close in Mile High Country

Despite the fact that they are sitting with a 66-92 overall record, Colorado has showed some fight recently as well. Prior to dropping the first two games of this series (4-3 F/11 and 3-1) the Rockies completed a sweep of the NL West Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. During that three-game set in Denver, which was the Rockies final homestand of the season, Colorado outscored Los Angeles by a 27-15 margin. Though it wouldn’t be by much, Colorado can improve on the 66-96 record they posted last season if they can bag a win during any of their last four games.

Arizona vs Colorado MLB Call: The D-Backs have an edge on the bump here as LHP Patrick Corbin (6-5 ERA 3.28) faces RHP David Hale (5-5 ERA 6.01) in the rumble on the rubber. We don’t expect much of a pitchers duel here as the Rockies sit fifth overall with 713 runs plated while Arizona is seventh with 700 runs scored.
