NBA Picks: Conference Quarterfinals Odds For April 20, 2017
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Indiana Pacers NBA Playoff Odds
Cleveland Cavaliers Regular Season Record: 51-31
Indiana Pacers Regular Season Record: 42-40
Canada Sports Betting Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers (-135) at Bodog
After taking a 2-0 stranglehold on the series, the Cleveland Cavaliers want to earn some extra rest by putting the Pacers to bed in a quick sweep. Kyrie Irving finally woke up last game, throwing 37 points into the hoop to ensure a 117-111 win. LeBron performed as the King we’re used to, scoring 25 points, hauling ten boards and dishing seven dimes.
Paul George had another amazing evening, scoring 32 points on 10-20 shooting, which is the only reason this game was closer than expected. He’s been vocalizing his displeasure with teammates such as C.J. Miles and Lance Stephenson in the media, which only digs the grave further for Indiana. Cleveland should enjoy their first three-game win streak in a while.
Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Playoff Odds
Toronto Raptors Regular Season Record: 51-31
Milwaukee Bucks Regular Season Record: 42-40
Canada Sports Betting Pick: Milwaukee Bucks (-120) at Bodog
The Toronto Raptors did a great job containing Giannis Antetokounmpo, holding him to 9-24 shooting during game two. He still managed to score 24 points, grab 15 rebounds, and distribute seven assists, showing his ability to contribute regardless of how well he’s shooting on any given evening. It was the heroics of Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, and P.J. Tucker that helped the Raptors split the first pair.
As is often the case with basketball, the team with the best player tends to win when two squads are relatively close in competitiveness. With all due respect to DeRozan and Lowry, Giannis is by far the best player on the court in this series. Expect a strong rebound performance – maybe even a triple-double - from the Greek Freak, who will spark panic in Toronto by lifting the Bucks to a 2-1 series lead.
San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies NBA Playoff Odds
San Antonio Spurs Regular Season Record: 61-21
Memphis Grizzlies Regular Season Record: 43-39
Canada Sports Betting Pick: San Antonio Spurs (-180) at Bodog
Game two between the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies wasn’t as close as it appeared, with the Spurs enjoying a sizable lead for most of the evening, killing the Grizz with a 10-0 run after Memphis climbed within two possessions mid-way through the fourth. Considering the amount of effort Memphis needed to claw back from a huge deficit, the easy way San Antonio finished them off was a cruel reminder of reality.
Kawhi Leonard can’t stop playing astonishingly efficient basketball, scoring 37 points on 14 shots (!), including 19-19 from the free throw line. He’s also a perennial defensive player of the year candidate, which translates into suffering on both ends of the court for the underdog Grizzlies. Bet the farm and fam on the Spurs.
