Blue Jays vs. Orioles Odds: Sunday Night Baseball Picks
Can the Toronto Blue Jays (2-9) make it two in a row against the Baltimore Orioles (7-3) on Sunday? Winless J.A. Happ takes the mound for the Blue Birds, while Dylan Bundy tries to repeat his last performance against this team. First pitch is at 1:07 ET.

Baltimore vs. Toronto MLB Odds

My Team's Next MatchToronto Blue Jays

Orioles Probable Pitchers: Bundy, Dylan (1-1, 2.70 ERA)
Blue Jays Probable Pitchers: Happ, J.A. (0-2, 5.40 ERA)
Canada Sports Betting Pick: Baltimore Orioles (-105) at Sports Interaction

The Blue Jays (2-9) are looking for their first back to back win of the season on Sunday, after an emotional walk off home run gave them the win over the division leading Baltimore Orioles (7-3) on Saturday. They can split the series with a win here, and attempt to correct course. Starting the season 2-9 is the worst start in the franchise's history, and that goes back 40 years!

Baltimore's sending RH Dylan Bundy to the mound, and we all remember how his last game went with Toronto. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run off 4 hits with 8 strikeouts and walked none. Toronto's depleted offense was non-existent in that game, with Jose Bautista, Russell Martin, Kendrys Morales, and Troy Tulowitzski combining to go 0 for 14 against the right hander. He did lose his last game to a powerful Boston offense, only giving up 3 runs, but should get back to form.

As for the Toronto Blue Jays, they are giving LH J.A. Happ a chance to get his first win of the season. He's no slouch, having dominated at home last season with an 11-2 record, and ending the year with 20 total wins. He's not exactly struggling this year either, only having given up 3 runs on 5 hits in the first duel with Baltimore, but his offense isn't giving him a break. This could lead to frustration going forward if the Blue Birds can't start hitting that ball.

MLB Picks Today - April 16, 2017

There's no realistic reason to take the Blue Jays here. They might have a better offense than they show, but until it starts clicking, there's no reason to take a chance on them. Tulowitzski is starting to heat up, but the heart of the order needs to produce as well. Happ doesn't have great numbers against Adam Jones, and especially manny Machado, but he'll look for him to throw a decent game until the frustration kicks in. Take the Baltimore Orioles at -105 at Sports Interaction.

Handicapping MLB Starting Pitchers For Baseball Betting
Major League Baseball revolves around pitching, more so when the playoffs roll around in October. Contenders with big bats and slick fielders will only go as far as their pitching staff allows. As such, handicapping starting pitchers reveals the odds that a team will win an individual ballgame. Baseball clubs with the best starting pitchers have a much greater chance of winning pennants and World Series rings.
