Blue Jays vs. Brewers MLB 2017 Pitchers, Odds, Picks, Live Score
The Toronto Blue Jays (1-5) aren't too pleased with the start of their season. Luckily, they play their first home game of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers (2-5), who haven't fared much better, on Tuesday night. J.A. Happ takes the mound for the home side. First pitch is at 7:07pm EST.

My Team's Next MatchToronto Blue Jays

Brewers Probable Pitchers: Peralta, Wily (1-0, 0.00)
Blue Jays Probable Pitchers: Happ, J.A. (0-1, 3.86)
Canada Sports Betting Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-220) at Sports Interaction

After a disastrous road trip to begin the season, the Toronto Blue Jays (1-5) look to right the ship against the likewise struggling Brewers in Interleague play on Tuesday night. The last time these teams met was back in 2014, with the visiting Blue Jays hitting .375 in a 9-5 win to break Milwaukee's win streak. During the last game of their 3 game losing streak to the Rays on Sunday, 3B Josh Donaldson reinjured his calf, and that could mean even more bad news for the AL East cellar dwellers going forward.

RH Wily Peralta takes the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers, and has been solid for them, dating back to last year. He had a 2.92 ERA post All-Star break, and is looking to bring back some of that talent. Unfortunately for him, the Jays have pretty good numbers against him. SS Troy Tulowitski is 4 for 13 with 4 walks facing him, and C Russell Martin is a stunning 4 for 9 with a home run. If the hits come, it could be a long night for the right hander.

LH J.A. Happ starts for the Blue Birds, and will look to improve his numbers against the club. Ryan Braun has gone 9 for 28, with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs against the 34-year-old. The left hander has a 6.13 ERA in 11 appearances versus Milwaukee. He had a decent debut to this season in Baltimore, going 7 innings and allowing only 3 runs off 5 hits while striking out 9, but lost in a tough decision.

MLB Picks Today - April 11, 2017

So who's the play this time? Toronto might have issues with their power, but Happ should do enough to get the win. Don't forget, the Jays are 20-8 in his last 28 home starts. Toronto's 20-7 in their last 27 interleague home games against a right hander. This one shouldn't be too hard. The value is there despite the steam. Take the Toronto Blue Jays at -220 at Sports Interaction.

Handicapping MLB Starting Pitchers For Baseball Betting
Major League Baseball revolves around pitching, more so when the playoffs roll around in October. Contenders with big bats and slick fielders will only go as far as their pitching staff allows. As such, handicapping starting pitchers reveals the odds that a team will win an individual ballgame. Baseball clubs with the best starting pitchers have a much greater chance of winning pennants and World Series rings.
