CFL Week 14 Predictions

CFL Odds Week 14

Week 14 CFL betting lines are slanted towards home cooking as the Redblacks, Stampeders and Eskimos are all posted as favourites on their home turf while the Tiger-Cats are the lone team listed as chalk on the road. Montreal is the odd squad out this weekend as the Alouettes are on a BYE.

CFL Week 13 Wagering Recap

We endured a mixed bag of results in Week 13 as we went 2-2 straight up and just 1-3 against the spread. We had a rough start as Hamilton squeaked past Montreal with a 20-17 win as ten-point chalk. We followed that up with a misread on the Winnipeg vs Toronto tilt as the Bombers ripped the Argonauts 46-29. Calgary delivered our lone cover as the Stampeders stomped Ottawa 48-23 and we took a loss when Saskatchewan protected their home field with a surprise 26-23 overtime win against Edmonton. Let’s put that behind us and take a look at the Week 14 CFL schedule.

Week 14 CFL Predictions

Toronto Argonauts @ Ottawa Redblacks 2016 CFL Week 14 Prediction

Meeting for the third and final time this season, Ottawa (5-5-1) hosts Toronto (5-7-0) to open the CFL Week 14 schedule. This is a rubber-match battle after the Redblacks won the first meeting 30-20 in Toronto in Week Four prior to the Argonauts posting a 23-20 victory in Ottawa during Week Six action. Both of these teams are coming off blowout losses as red-hot Winnipeg annihilated the visiting Argonauts 46-29 while the Redblacks were ripped 48-23 in Calgary. Scoring has been an issue for both teams as the Redblacks 25.9 PPG and the Argos 24.9 PPG are the sixth and seventh lowest totals in the CFL. This contest has playoff implications as Ottawa is just one point behind Hamilton in the CFL East while Toronto sits two points back in third place overall. With two evenly matched offenses on the field – we give an edge to the Redblacks slightly better defense at home here. Back Ottawa to win and cover the -6 (-110) spread price posted by the bookmakers at Bodog.

British Columbia Lions @ Edmonton Eskimos CFL 2016 Week 14 Prediction

While we have always wondered about the CFL scheduling system, we find it particularly strange that West Division rivals Edmonton (5-7) and British Columbia (8-3) are meeting for just the first time this season during the back half of the CFL Week 14 Friday Night doubleheader. It’s been an ugly season for the defending Grey Cup champs, who lost 26-23 in OT to the 2-10 Roughriders last week, as the Eskimos have just five wins and they are currently riding a three game losing streak. Hooked into the same division as the streaking Stampeders, BC is holding their own as they have won three straight contests but they still trail Calgary by five points in the West. The Lions are fresh off a bye week that was proceeded by a 38-27 home win over Montreal. Viewing this contest as the Week 14 best bet – we will load up on the Lions to win outright in Edmonton vs the Eskimos.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Calgary Stampeders 2016 CFL Week 14 Prediction

Hot meets hotter as Winnipeg (8-4-0) visits Calgary (10-1-1) at McMahon Stadium to open the CFL Week 14 Saturday doubleheader action at 4:00 PM ET on September 24, 2016. Following a dismal 1-4 start to their season, the Blue Bombers are the talk of the CFL as they have ripped off seven straight victories by a convincing 224-133 combined final count. Winnipeg last lost back in Week Five as the Blue Bombers were bashed 33-18 at home by these same Stampeders. Also impressive, Calgary has been stomping the competition as the Stampeders have not lost since they dropped a 20-18 decision on the road to the BC Lions in Week One. The Stamps lone “blemish” since that loss is 26-26 Week Three tie in Ottawa. Calgary is 15-1 over their last 16 home games and we see their winning ways continuing here. Lay the large -9 (-110) price and back the Red & White at Bodog.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Saskatchewan Roughriders CFL 2016 Week 14 Prediction

CFL Week 14 comes to a close with Saskatchewan (2-10) hosting Hamilton (8-6) at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field in Regina at 9:30 PM ET. This is the second and final regular season meeting for these teams after the Tigers-Cats crushed the Roughriders 53-7 at Tim Hortons Field during Week Nine action. Although Hamilton owns first place in the East Division, their play has been far from stellar recently as the Cats are just 3-4 since their BYE in Week Six. Trend bettors will note that Hamilton has been on a "lose one – win one" streak over their past six contests and they are coming off an underwhelming 20-17 win over Montreal last week. The 'Riders shocked Edmonton last week as they scored eleven fourth quarter points and then beat the Eskimos 26-23 in overtime to snap a seven game losing streak. Hamilton owns the better offense and defense so we are laying the -5 (-115) ATS line and cruising with the Cats at the top rated SportsInteraction online sportsbook.

2018 CFL Division Finals Odds
The road to the 2018 CFL Grey Cup continues on Sunday, November 18th with the eastern and western division finals. After a big win over the Lions, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats travel to meet the division-leading Redblacks in Ottawa. Out west, the CFL-best Calgary Stampeders host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who overcame a 53-year curse to finally win a playoff game in Regina. Sports betting sites show the Stampeders as favorites, but the Blue Bombers resilience make them an attractive underdog to win the west.
