CFL Week 12 Wagering Recap

We enjoyed a winning CFL Week 12 as we went 2-1-1 with our point spread predictions. We covered the BC Lions -9 against the spread price by two points as the Leos posted a 38-27 win over the Montreal Alouettes. Winnipeg vs Saskatchewan was a push as the Blue Bombers (-7 ATS) squeaked out a 17-10 win over the Roughriders. Betting against the best team in the CFL was not wise as Calgary went into Edmonton and posted a 34-28 victory for our lone loss of the week. We finished strong though as Toronto shocked Hamilton with a 33-21 victory as -6.5 home dogs.

Week 13 CFL Predictions

Week 13 CFL wagering odds feature three home favourites and one road chalk team. Hamilton, Winnipeg and Calgary are all expected to win as hosts while Edmonton looks to ruin the party in Saskatchewan. Building on last week's momentum – here are our Week 13 CFL predictions.

Montreal Alouettes @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Prediction

On the road for a second straight game, following their 38-27 loss to the Lions in Vancouver last Friday, Montreal (3-8) opens CFL Week 13 action in Hamilton. The Cats (5-6) will be angry hosts as they were torched 33-21 in Toronto on Sunday. Although the Alouettes defense has been decent, allowing 25 PPG, the offense has sputtered with a 21 PPG average – good for second last in the league. Hamilton is the second highest scoring team in the CFL with a 33 PPG average and we expect the Tiger-Cats will pile on the points here. The Cats posted a 31-7 win over Montreal at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium back in Week 4. The Als are in last place while Hamilton can move into first place in the CFL East with a win here and an Ottawa loss in Calgary. Lay the -10 (-115) spread price and back the Tiger-Cats over the Alouettes at the SportsInteraction sportsbook

Toronto Argonauts @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Prediction

Saturday action opens with Toronto traveling to Winnipeg to battle the Blue Bombers at Investors Group Field at 2:00 PM ET. Winnipeg posted a 34-17 win over Toronto at BMO Field during Week 8 action as the Blue Bombers pulled away with 14 fourth quarter points. Toronto has played better on the road as they have posted a 3-1 record as visitors, compared to their 2-5 home mark, this season. Winnipeg owe their fans as they are just 2-3 at home and 5-1 on the road. The Argonauts snapped a four-game losing streak with a surprise 33-21 win over Hamilton last week. Winnipeg has been hot as the Bombers have won six straight but the last two wins were squeakers over the 1-10 Saskatchewan Roughriders as Winnipeg posted 28-25 and 17-10 victories. We are taking the +6 (-110) point spread at Bodog and backing the Argos to at least stay close to the Blue Bombers.

Ottawa Redblacks @ Calgary Stampeders Prediction

East and West Division leaders meet at McMahon Stadium as Ottawa visits Calgary at 5:00 PM ET on September 17, 2016. This is the second and final meeting between these possible Grey Cup finalists following a 26-26 tie at TD Place Stadium in Week 3. That was a back and forth overtime affair after the teams were tied 20-20 at the end of regulation time. Ottawa (5-4-1) was hot at that point, with a 3-0-1 record, but the Redblacks are 2-4 since then. Following a hot start on offense, Ottawa has cooled as they have been outscored 26-21 on average over their last four contests. Calgary (9-1-1) has not lost since they visited Ottawa as the Stampeders have recorded nine straight wins. The Stamps are the class of the CFL as they lead the league in wins, points scored with 367 and just 255 points against. Cruise with Calgary and the -8 (-110) odds posted at SIA.

Edmonton Eskimos @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Prediction

Week 13 CFL action wraps up with Saskatchewan hosting Edmonton at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field in Regina. These teams meet for the third and final time this season and kickoff is slated for 4:30 PM ET on September 18, 2016. Edmonton posted a 39-36 win at home during their season opener and a 33-25 victory on the road in Regina during Week 10 action. Proving the old adage “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side” Saskatchewan head coach Chris Jones deserted the defending Grey Cup Champion Eskimos as he jumped ship to guide the Roughriders this year. Living the dream in Alberta - Jones got greedy as his 1-10 record is a nightmare. The problems on the prairies are numerous as the ‘Riders have lost seven in a row by a 226-95 count. Before getting stomped by the Stamps, Edmonton had won three straight by a 102-60 margin. Etch an Eskimos win and lay the -5 (-110) spread posted at Bodog. Good Luck during the CFL Week 13 action.
