CFL Picks Week 15
CFL Football Games This Week
Following the Roughriders vs Redblacks battle, a key contest for both teams, Montreal visits Calgary at 9:30 PM ET for the back half of the CFL Friday Night doubleheader. After falling to 3-10-0 ATS on contests involving the Red & White, StatsGuru is dreading making a call on the monster spread being offered at SportsInteraction. We’ll burn the bridge when we arrive at it. We also receive a Saturday double-dip as Toronto is in Hamilton to renew their East Division feud at 6:30 PM ET on September 30, prior to a West Division duel at 9:30 PM ET that features Winnipeg in Edmonton.
While plucking some thorns from their paws, the BC Lions can follow our LIVE results widget during their Week 15 BYE. British Columbia has lost five of six matches - including a 24-23 ego humbling loss to Hamilton (3-9) at BC Place last week. The Cats slick 5-2 start is a distant memory and, last in the West, Wally Buono & Crew are Winnipeg and Ottawa fans this weekend. Should the Eskimos and 'Riders both lose, Saskatchewan, Edmonton and BC will remain separated by two points in the fight for third place in the Western Division plus the likely crossover postseason spot in the East.
CFL Predictions Today and Week 14 Review
Fun Fact: After Winnipeg whacked Ottawa 29-9 to open Week 14, we moved to 13-0 SU (one no pick in Week 5) and 11-2-1 ATS on the first match of each week. That is some weird, wild stuff but the euphoria faded fast when the Tiger-Cats posted their buzz killing win versus the BC Kittens. Getting Week 14 back on track, we cashed with Toronto as they mashed Montreal 33-19 and looked good doing it. Hauntingly, the Stamps snuffed out a winning ATS week for us when they failed to cover the 6.5 line during a 15-9 win vs the ‘Riders. Let's end the first 3Q on a high note.
CSB Money Line & ATS Week 14 Results: 3-1-0 and 2-2-0 Overall: 40-15-1 and 30-25-2
- Saskatchewan at Ottawa Pick: Roughriders -3 (-110) ATS at Bet365
We wondered if Saskatchewan head coach Chris Jones would find greener grass after bolting from the 2015 Grey Cup Champion Eskimos. Jones has endured a rough ride in Regina (11-18) but he appears to have humbled some and the ‘Riders on a 4-2 run. If you know someone in Ottawa, who can throw a football, the Redblacks want to talk to them. QB Ryan Lindley makes his second start for the Champs, who are +3 (-110) home dogs at Bet365, and we don’t see it going well. We are laying the road chalk price and backing the Roughriders to win outright at TD Place Stadium.
Final Score: Saskatchewan Roughriders 18-17
- Montreal vs Calgary Pick: Stampeders -17 (-110) ATS at SportsInteraction
True Story: Prior to researching this contest, StatsGuru had a nap in hopes the game would play out in his dreams. It did not. That is what it has come to as we continue to struggle with Calgary ATS predictions. Now, against the team that handed them their lone loss of the season, we are facing a huge -17 (-110) price at SportsInteraction. The Stamps have won nine in a row since that 30-23 loss - way back in Week 4. For their part, Montreal is sinking like a stone as the Alouettes have lost six straight by a 207-89 margin. Plug your nose, lay the line and saddle up with the Stamps here.
Final Score: Calgary Stampeders 59-11
- Toronto at Hamilton Pick: Toronto -3 (-110) ATS ATS at William Hill
Bolstered by a newly discovered ground game, Toronto leads the playoff "race" in the East. Led by RB James Wilder Jr. the Argonauts have racked up 385 rushing yards, during wins over Edmonton (34-26) and Montreal (33-19), which is noteworthy after the Argos averaged just 65.4 RYPG during their first 11 contests. Shocking or sad, depending on your point of view, Hamilton (3-9) still has an outside shot at making the playoffs as the Tiger-Cats are on a 3-1 roll. Road chalk with a -3 (110) ATS line at William Hill, despite being 0-6 at Tim Hortons Field, we are sailing with the Boatmen.
Final Score: Toronto Argonauts 43-35 (OT)
- Winnipeg at Edmonton Pick: Blue Bombers +3 (-110) ATS at Bodog
Teams headed in opposite directions meet as Winnipeg rolls into Commonwealth Stadium to battle Edmonton in the Alberta Capital. Big Blue is on a white-hot 7-1 run while the Eskimos have crashed and burned during a five-match losing streak. Edmonton trails Winnipeg by four points in the West and their recent run of futility began with 33-26 Week 9 loss in Manitoba. Fresh off a BYE, the Esks are tasked with stopping the Bombers (34.7 PPG) CFL best offense. Road pups, with a +3 (-110) line at Bodog, we see the Blue Bombers winning outright to close the action packed Week 15 schedule.
Final Score: Winnipeg Blue Bombers 28-19
