Tottenham vs Chelsea Odds, Prediction and Live Score
When these two last met at the end of November, Tottenham was outclassing Chelsea on their own pitch. It looked like Conte’s 3-4-3 had met its match in a versatile Spurs side that can pose many problems. Victor Moses and Eden Hazard were being eliminated from the game by a strong team that pressed and created turnovers in Chelsea’s half.
Then Tottenham gassed and Chelsea pulled a rabbit out of the hat. They hung on for a 2-1 victory and that sent them on their way to 1st place in the table and now sitting as heavy title favorites to win the English Premier League. On the other hand, the Spurs have been on a slow boil all year and have now reached their highest level; the one that had them challenging for last year’s title.
We saw glimpses of it in that Chelsea game and since they have been getting better every week. Now they are just flat out mauling opponents. They’ve warmed up for this main course fixture with back to back 4-1 victories away at Southampton and Watford.
Both teams will be at their strongest making this game a must see.
Tottenham vs Chelsea Odds on BODOG
Tottenham took a few months to hit their stride. Now it is time for them to make bank.
And what better way to show the world you mean business than by defeating the team everyone has already crowned. The English Media and even top managers like Guardiola and Wenger have already given the title to Chelsea. When they arrive at White Hart Lane on Wednesday Spurs have plans for them, and it’s not a coronation.
There is bad blood between these organizations, the players, and supporters. Chelsea have been giving Tottenham the business for years now and the fans would like a pound of flesh in return for New years. Chelsea will not go unbeaten the rest of this season, and dare I say they will not coast to the Premier League title without a fight.
There are still holes that can be exploited in Conte’s side which Tottenham will be wise to having already outplayed them once this season. This time they finish the job and get all 3 points.
Chelsea to Make it 14 Straight Wins?
Both teams have been on fantastic runs. I, for one, have been waiting for Spurs to regain their peak level from last season and it looks as if they have reached it.
Since losing to Chelsea at the end of November the Spurs have gone 6-0-1 and have outscored their opponents 21-5. The one loss was a 1-0 Mourinho masterclass at Old Trafford.
Chelsea have stormed ahead in the league table and all the pressure is on the teams behind them to play catch up. They have beaten some good teams on this run but for the most part they have been taking care of business against a fairly weak schedule over the past few months.
Title winners generally take most of their points from the bottom half and look to play keep away from the top sides.
