NHL Playoff Predictions: Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers Game 6
Oilers at Ducks NHL Playoffs Game 5 Review: Anaheim 4-3 (OT)
Fishing tales regaling “the one that got away” have nothing on the yarn the Ducks and Oilers spun during Game 5 of this NHL Western Conference Semifinal series. After a scoreless first, Edmonton took control and looked like the hungrier team as they lit the lamp three times in the second frame. History was made in the third period though as Anaheim became the first NHL team win a playoff game after trailing by three scores with under four minutes to play. Our Anaheim puck line ticket was trash but we backed the Ducks in OT on the William Hill LIVE betting platform to salvage a PUSH on the Ducks comeback. LIVE wagering acts as betting insurance when properly navigated.

NHL Western Conference Semifinal Series Game 6 Preview: Anaheim @ Edmonton
Snapping a run of four fights that were won by the visitors, the Ducks pulled a rabbit out of their hat and put a spike in the Oilers heart with their 4-3 (2OT) win at the Duck Pond. We have stayed away from all the officiating talk but the zebras are taking a ton of heat in series. Whether there was goaltender interference on Anaheim’s tying goal, or not, Edmonton blew a three goal lead with 3:16 left on the clock and that’s the bottom line from Game 5. Not expected to get this far, the Oilers are playing with “house money” so expect them to storm out of the gate in Game 6.
Heart, will and talent are all very valuable – experience is priceless. Simply stated, the playoff savvy Ducks knew what they needed to do with four minutes left in Game 5 and the Oilers didn’t know what to do once they started doing it. Anaheim continues to annihilate Edmonton in the faceoff circle as the Ducks now own a 207-137 win margin through five games. The SoCal Crew have also been masterful at erasing in-game deficits but they’ll need to weather an Alberta Clipper style storm to begin this ripper at Rogers Place. Could this be the match John Gibson steals for the Ducks?167 Units OVER 5.0 (-167) Total Goals William Hill
NHL Playoff Picks Today – May 7, 2017 – 167 Units OVER 5.0 (-167) Total Goals @ William Hill. There are many mantras mashing together prior to this contest but it all boils down to a couple of keys for both sides. The Oilers need a strong push to open the game and they need to find a way to contain the Ducks if they get a lead. Anaheim has a history of wilting in Game 6 and 7 playoff battles so they will make a concentrated push once they weather the initial storm. The Ducks also need to stay disciplined as another 5-3 power play almost sunk their season during Game 5. Already defensively challenged, the Oilers will take chances and the playoff savvy Ducks will capitalize when they do. Back the OVER here with a 167-unit wager on the William Hill 5.0 (-167) game total odds.
NHL Western and Eastern Conference 2017 Stanley Cup Futures Odds Update
Shaking up the William Hill Stanley Cup futures odds, Anaheim has moved from their (+900) dog status after Game Two to second chalk (+333) thanks to their Game 5 victory. Following their epic meltdown in Disneyland, Edmonton crashed from third favorites to seventh overall with a gaudy (+1600) price. Nashville failed in to put away the Blues as St. Louis posted a 2-1 win during their Game 5 duel. The Predators (+350) return home, in third on the Cup favorite list, for a Sunday matinee match versus the Blues who remain as the largest “Elite Eight” pups with a (+1800) ML.
Eastern Conference teams shuffled the deck after the longshots both won their games on Saturday. Pittsburgh is still overall chalk but their price fell from (+260) to (+320) after the Penguins lost 4-2 to Washington. The Capitals (+650) moved back into the second favorite slot as they over jumped the Rangers and Senators. Ottawa (+700) snatched victory from the jaws of defeat during a 5-4 (OT) Game 5 win versus New York who now have a monster (+1400) Stanley Cup futures line. The Rags loss was painful for us as the Sens tied the match with just 84 seconds left on the clock. Bet with the best when you wager at the NHL puck betting experts recommended here at CSB.
