Florida Panthers vs St. Louis Blues NHL Odds, Picks, Live Score

Florida Panthers vs St. Louis Blues NHL Odds, Picks, Live Score
Playoff positioning is front and center tonight as nine of the eleven contests on the SportsInteraction NHL betting board feature teams involved in the heated pre-playoff races. An appetizer to the second season, which begins on April 12, here are our predictions for the April 6, 2017, National Hockey League schedule.

St Louis Blues @ Florida Panthers Odds

Facing a fairly easy season closing schedule, St Louis is in Florida to battle the Panthers tonight. The Blues are looking to hold on to third place in the Central Division as they have a one point lead on Nashville. Retaining third means the Blues would avoid a first round matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks who have eliminated St. Louis in the first round two of the past three years. After they attended the postseason party last year, Florida is playing out the string on a disappointing season.

My Team's Next MatchSt. Louis Blues

Sellers at the NHL trade deadline, some pundits pointed to the Blues as being a team that’s tanking. The exact opposite has happened though as the Blues have been the hottest team in the NHL with a 12-2-2 run since March 5. Following a huge 4-1 win over Nashville last Sunday, St. Louis stumbled during a 5-2 loss to Winnipeg at home on Tuesday. A Blues win, coupled with a Predators loss, will lock down third place and St. Louis would love to get that job done at the BB&T Center tonight.

Florida plays the Blues tonight and Buffalo on Saturday at home before closing out their 2016-17 NHL campaign against the Capitals on the road in Washington. The Cats season went south near the end of February as Florida went from a 28-20-10 playoff worthy record to their current 33-35-11 mark which has them postseason eliminated. Florida has dropped five straight contests, by a 20-9 margin, and they appear to be mailing it in. Not big big fans of giving up pucks with teams on the road, we are backing St. Louis with the (-140) SportsInteraction money line odds in this contest.

Best NHL Picks Tonight – April 6, 2017

Toronto is closing in on a playoff position and a win vs Tampa Bay at the Air Canada Centre would make that mission accomplished. A Maple Leafs victory would eliminate the Lightning but, more importantly, the Buds would pass the Bruins and move into third in the Atlantic Division. As well, if Ottawa were to lose to Boston, Toronto would vault into second place. Both squads should go all out on offense so we are backing the OVER on the SportsInteraction -5.5 (-115) game total price.

West coast NHL action is wild and willy tonight as the four Pacific Division Stanley Cup contenders all face key contests. Chicago has clinched the top spot in the West as they visit Anaheim to face the Ducks who have a four point lead in the Pacific. Calgary is in Los Angels and Edmonton visits San Jose as well tonight. We are going with a California home sweep by backing the Ducks (-130) Kings (-135) and Sharks (-135) on a three team parlay ticket. April 6, 2017 NHL Betting Results: We stumbled with our picks here as we went 2-3 tonight. Our top pick cashed in as St. Louis scored four third period goals in Florida and the Blues pounded the Panthers 6-3 to lock down third place in the Central Division. We ended up being a half goal short on our Lightning vs Maple Leafs OVER call as the Buds were flat at home losing 4-1 to the Bolts. Our California sweep was sunk after we were right on the Ducks but both Alberta Crews won as the Flames posted a 4-1 win over the Kings and the Oilers beat the Sharks 4-2. Playoff positions are still on the line so we’ll be back with picks for the final day of the NHL regular season on Sunday.
