Manchester United vs Liverpool Odds, Prediction and Live score

Manchester United vs Liverpool Odds, Prediction and Live score
Old Trafford hosts a huge Premier League showdown this Sunday. Jurgen Klopp brings his Liverpool side, winless in 3, to face Jose Mourinho and his surging Red Devils of Manchester United on Sunday, January 15. This is England's most storied rivalry and Sunday should be another great chapter.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Odds

Since defeating Manchester City, Liverpool have gone winless in their subsequent 3 matches. However when Jurgen Klopp brings his side into Old Trafford on Sunday he can feel good in the knowledge that his Liverpool are the only team to not suffer a defeat at the hands of the other top 6 teams in the English Premier League.

My Team's Next MatchManchester United

In fact, the big fixtures away from home seem to be the German’s specialty.

Since arriving at Liverpool last season, Klopp has won games at the Etihad, Stamford Bridge and the Emirates. Klopp is undefeated against Tottenham and they knocked LVG’s United team out of the Europa League last season.

Klopp has yet to win at Old Trafford but on Sunday he should welcome back Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip to the lineup meaning that he will be able to field his strongest available lineup.

And that is good news for him because Manchester United are a wrecking ball. They have won 9 straight games in all competitions outscoring their opposition 20-3.

Mourinho and his squad started slow, but the mediocre Manchester United of the past 3 seasons has disappeared. Both of these huge brands, stand once again on the doorstep of Europe’s elite. Each has a chance to be welcomed back to the party this Sunday with a victory.

If Jordan Henderson was not available to play then I would have to go with the home side.

However with him quarterbacking the team, much like Michael Carrick does for United, Liverpool are difficult to beat. We can rely on Mourinho’s team to keep a solid shape and defend well, but it will be interesting to see if they drop off and sit behind the ball the way they did at Anfield earlier this season. My instincts tell me no, as Liverpool have shown some cracks in the last couple of weeks. Mourinho may have a masterplan in mind, similar to the game against Tottenham.

I can’t see a Liverpool win, but I think they can scrape out a point. The first 15 minutes will be very telling. If United are blitzing and Liverpool are scrambling then this would be a great time to Live Bet United. If it’s a cagey, cat and mouse type chess game, then I would stick with the Draw.

Premier League Odds Week 21

United can keep their momentum going in the weeks to come. After a 2-0 victory in the 1st leg of the EFL cup, they should breeze into the final. Following a string of winnable games and on their current form they can rack up a lot of points before their schedule gets hectic in mid-February.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have made life very difficult on themselves.

By losing away at the Saints in the 1st leg of the EFL cup semifinal, and drawing Plymouth Argyle at home in the FA Cup last weekend, they face a log jam of fixtures between now and the end of the month, and if they want to stay alive in all competitions, Klopp will need to field his best 11 in pretty much every game. And seeing how his team plays a frantic style, this can easily be the portion of the season where the Reds burnout.
