Manchester United vs Arsenal Odds, Prediction and Live score

Manchester United vs Arsenal Odds, Prediction and Live score
A couple years ago Jose Mourinho referred to Arsene Wenger as a "specialist in failure". In the early game on Saturday Jose gets to face the man who he has had a lopsided advantage over in their careers.

Manchester United host Arsenal after an eventful international break.

For the Red Devils, Wayne Rooney swelled up his knee and neither he nor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is suspended, will be available. This leaves Marcus Rashford as the obvious choice to play as the striker up top, which will delight all United fans, as most feel he is the best overall option anyway.

What won’t delight United fans is the make shift defense that their team will have to field as they sort through several injuries. For the Gunners Hector Bellerin is out and Alexis Sanchez, who apparently tore his calf, played for Chile against Uruguay anyway and scored a brace, then flew back to England from South America, is in.

Manchester United vs Arsenal odds on B365

With Arsenal fighting to keep pace in the title race and United desperate for a top 4 finish this season, these are 3 valuable points that both teams will want to secure.

Manchester United vs Arsenal Prediction

In 15 head to head matches between Mourinho and Wenger there has only been a total of 30 goals, or 2 goals per game. If you consider that one of those was a 6-0 demolition, thats means the other 14 fixtures averaged 1.7 goals per match

BET UNDER 2.5 @ -125 AT BET365In big games Jose Mourinho is what he is and until it becomes unprofitable I will continue to recommend this line. Mourinho has had a lopsided advantage over Arsene Wenger over their careers because he locks down that free flowing possession football that Arsenal likes to play and then waits for them to crack. Arsenal will be wise to this and be sure not to concede any cheap openings.

To Arsenal’s credit in 5 Premier League away games this season they have only conceded 3 goals.

The first 15 minutes may decide the fate this game. If there is an early goal like United conceded in the Chelsea game, all bets may be off and the under may be compromised. If there are few openings and both sides play it cagey like the Liverpool/ United match than we may be looking at 1 clean unit to start our weekend. With two excellent keepers in David De Gea and Peter Cech, the last line of defense is capable of erasing any defensive errors.

A Single Win in 15 Games Against Mourinho

In 15 career matches against the Special One, Wenger has a 1-6-8 record and has seen his team outscored 23-7. In addition to Arsene Wenger’s poor record against Jose Mourinho, he has lost to Manchester United 25 times in his career, much more than any other club.

And it was in this fixture last season that Marcus Rashford burst on to the world scene, scoring a brace in a 3-2 win.

On Saturday Arsene will have to walk into a stadium that has given him much grief, and face a manager who has beaten him repeatedly on the field and insulted him ruthlessly off the field.

Who knows what horrors will run through the Frenchman’s head should Marcus Rashford gets in on goal. Who can imagine the joy if he left with the win and continued the Special One’s downward spiral.
