EPL Week 4 Predictions
Premier League Games This Weekend
Now that the transfer market is closed for the next few months it is time for the truly good teams to begin asserting themselves. For the likes of Arsenal who have made no additions to a very unbalanced squad the next few months will prove rather challenging. Simply put they will not be mounting a title push and from the looks of it, achieving 6th place in this year’s premier league table would be fair, not that their enraged fan base wants to hear that. The Gunners pull in a lot of revenue and simply have not invested it. Their board and manager look to have thrown in the towel off the pitch, which has leaked onto the field as evidenced by the team’s recent showings…
English Premier League Picks Week 4
Man City vs Liverpool
One team that doesn’t throw in the towel is this season’s incarnation of the Reds – they go for it…
Jurgen Klopp holds a 5-1-4 career record against Pep Guardiola, and last season Liverpool was 5-5-0 against the other sides in the top 6. For an encore to last season’s display, Klopp’s Reds dismantled the aforementioned Arsenal 4-0 and Anfield two weekends ago.
Now this Saturday September 9th at 7:30am EST they get to test their virality against more elite competition. Both sides are filled with stars who had to travel all over the globe and play in World Cup qualifiers and one may wish to wait on starting lineups in case either manager decides to rest players as they both face Champions League duties in a few days.
But with all those factors seeming to be a wash for both teams one has to say that on the balance of play, Liverpool are simply better at present. The attack is more fluid, and they are just as dangerous without the ball as they are with it which can be the x factor in this game as City would presume to have most of the ball, playing at home. City are not complete yet. They have more talent in their squad from top to bottom than anyone, yet early in the season it feels as if the sum of their parts is less than the whole. Liverpool can take at least a point away.

Everton vs Tottenham
Putting aside Tottenham’s shambolic defensive lapses at Wembley in their last 2 games they remain a very good defensive team. Additionally they are probably happy that they get to play a game away from home where the vibe is off for them.
Everton, like Spurs, also defend very well, and will not be in awe of the big names on the opposing side, as seen at the Etihad a few weeks back. Last EPL season under Koeman, the Toffees conceded 0.84 goals at Goodison and have started this home season keeping 2 clean sheets. Both sides are young, fit and shouldn’t give up many clear cut chances. The Draw it definitely in play as 3 of the last 4 meetings between these teams have ended in ties, but the total feels the safer bet.
|EVE vs TOT

Leicester vs Chelsea
Chelsea fans should be disappointed with their board’s inability to land more signings. Last season Antonio Conte, without the burden of midweek European games, won the league with a 13 man squad. This season, with Champions League competition, he basically has to pull off the same trick, because for every player Chelsea purchased, Chelsea also sold, loaned, or shelved.
But if there is a way to boost the morale of any team, look no further than the return of Chelsea’s magic man Eden Hazard. Injecting his gamechanging presence back into this side will transform them back into the side that won them the title last season. Leicester are a tough out at home but Chelsea remain the cream of the crop in England until dethroned, and with a manager as obsessed with winning as Antonio Conte, remain the toughest out of them all
Pick: Chelsea (-125) at William Hill
