CFL Picks Week 10

CFL Picks Week 10

CFL Football Games This Week

Hotter than a pistol, the Blue Bombers soar into Quebec to face the Alouettes who were annihilated by the Argonauts last week. A Friday game follows as Saskatchewan heads to Edmonton for a 9:30 PM ET kickoff in the Alberta Capital on August 25. A Saturday, August 26, doubleheader opens with Ottawa hosting BC at 3:30 PM ET and closes with Toronto hoping to crash the party in Calgary at 9:00 PM ET. Off to a dismal 0-8-0 start, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will lick their wounds during their second and last BYE week. The Cats have gone from Grey Cup contenders to mere kittens.

Results / FixturesCFL

Fairly pleased with our first half results – we are in the GREEN with our straight up and against the spread wagers. Some work on our ATS predictions is the primary goal as we open the second half of the season. It is often said that the race to the Grey Cup doesn’t officially begin until Labour Day Weekend but that is just ten days away eh?  Fixated on the CFL at this point – we are anticipating bigger and better things in the weeks ahead. Please remember that the CSB ‘Capping Crew will be predicting all 81 CFL regular season games, the four playoff battles and the Grey Cup Final fight.

CSB Money Line & ATS Week 9 Results: 3-1-0 and 2-2-0 Overall: 26-9-1 (1 NP) 19-16-2

CFL Predictions Today and Week 9 Review

Another week of winning early was followed by late losses as we went 2-2 against the spread and 3-1 straight up. Winnipeg’s 33-26 win, plus Ottawa obliterating Hamilton 37-18 got our Week 9 picks off to a solid start. Calgary kicking field goals, instead of scoring touchdowns, earned us a SU win and half point ATS loss during their 21-17 win over BC and we missed the mark completely when Toronto trashed the Alouettes 38-6 to close out the week. We won with the high scoring games and lost with the matches that went under the total. Let’s dig into the Week 10 action.

  • Winnipeg at Montreal Pick: Blue Bombers -1.5 (-110) ATS at Bet365

Teams headed in opposite directions open the second half of the season as Winnipeg has posted four straight wins while Montreal has managed just one victory during their last four matchups. Argos QB Ricky Ray shredded the Alouettes defense as he passed for 377 yards and four scores last week. That will have Blue Bombers pivot Matt Nichols licking his chops as he has 14 TD strikes and he’s averaging 302 pass yards per game so far this year. Bookmakers at the Bet365 sportsbook have listed Winnipeg as -1.5 (-110) road chalk and we are soaring with the Blue Bombers here.

Final Score: Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34-31 (OT)

  • Saskatchewan at Edmonton Pick: Eskimos -6 (-110) ATS at Bodog

Given the amount of key injuries they have sustained early in the season, it was only a matter of time before the Eskimos fell out of the undefeated ranks. Running into a red-hot Winnipeg squad didn’t help as the Eskimos fell to 7-1-0. After bashing BC 41-8 in Week 8, Saskatchewan enjoyed a BYE last week. The Eskimos loss and recent ‘Riders win hasn’t done much to affect the odds here as Edmonton is thick -6 (-105) chalk on the CFL betting board at Bodog. Torn on that rather bulky price, we are going with the better quarterback and defense and sledding with the Eskimos.

Final Score: Saskatchewan Roughriders 54-31 (Yikes)

Licking their wounds, after an embarrassing Week 9 loss on the road to the Green ‘Riders, the BC Lions have made a cross-country journey to Canada’s Capital and will battle the Redblacks to open the Saturday CFL doubleheader. Ottawa is fresh off their 37-18 trouncing of the clawless Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The defending Grey Cup Champs have looked sluggish all season and a victory over the 0-8-0 Kittens doesn’t do much to instil confidence that they have turned the corner. This contest is posted at EVEN at SportsInteraction and we like the Redblacks to win outright vs BC at home.

Final Score: Ottawa Redblacks 31-24

  • Toronto at Calgary Pick: Stampeders -10 (-110) ATS at William Hill

Following a dismal betting run with Calgary – we felt we had the Stamps figured out as we posted SU and ATS wins with the Red & White during Week 7 and 8 action. That ended last week though as we managed a SU cash but dropped our ATS wager. Putting way too much faith in their defense, our Alouettes tickets were trash after the Argos mashed Montreal. Now we are looking at a gaudy -10 (-110) price at William Hill to back Calgary at McMahon Stadium. Feeling none of the CFL East Division squads can be fully trusted at this point  – lay the line and back the Stampede City Crew.

Final Score: Calgary Stampeders 23-7

Week 10 Canada Based Online CFL Sportsbooks

After a first half that was dominated by West Division teams – everyone except Saskatchewan is sitting at the top of the Canada Sports Betting CFL Grey Cup Futures board. After a short one week visit to the top, Edmonton has fallen back to second chalk as the Stampeders have regained the top perch they have owned since the CFL preseason. BC remains as third overall favorites but they are dealing with QB deficiencies right now. Winnipeg’s CFL Championship price is falling and Blue Bombers Grey Cup backers are urged to act soon on their line as it may keep dropping.

Week 3 NFL X-Games, playing out between now and Sunday, are as close to regular season speed as it gets. As such, if they dare, Canadian ‘Cappers looking to bet on American Football can test the water. The 2017 NCAA Football season kicks off on Saturday so this is the last chance to wager on preseason National Championship future lines. Toss in a weekend of playoff impacting MLB and MLS matches and bettors have a boatload of sports betting options at the top sportsbooks listed below. Good Luck if you are “gambling” on the Mayweather vs McGregor WWE ‘esk event.

Stanley Cup 2019 Odds: Tavares & Toronto Favorites?
Toronto will remember July 1st, 2018 not as Canada Day, but Tavares Day, after the pride of Mississauga was liberated from the New York Islanders. This stunning coup solidifies the Leafs top-line talent for the next half-decade, creating a long window of opportunity for Toronto’s long-suffering franchise. The Maple Leafs odds to win the Stanley Cup in 2019 jumped to +700 after the announcement, better than the Lightning, Bruins and Golden Knights. Toronto’s finally positioned as favorites to win their first ring since 1967, despite questions surrounding their blueline and goaltending.
