Boston Red Sox vs Minnesota Twins MLB William Hill Wagering Lines and Prediction

Boston Red Sox vs Minnesota Twins MLB William Hill Wagering Lines and Prediction
Contender visits pretender when Boston and Minnesota open a three-game weekend series tonight. The Red Sox are battling Baltimore for top spot in the AL East Division while the Twins are sporting the worst record in the American League. Boston being on the road gets us a good price at the William Hill sportsbook. First pitch is slated for 8:10 PM ET on June 10, 2016 at Target Field.

Red Sox vs Twins Game Day Preview and LIVE Betting Odds

Looking to turn around a dismal June start, Boston is 2-5 so far this month, the Red Sox face the lowly Twins for the first time this season tonight. Boston is 34-25 overall and sit two games behind the Orioles in the AL East Division playoff race. The Boston bats are booming as David Ortiz and Crew continue to lead the Majors with 342 runs scored and a lofty .482 team slugging percentage.

A miserable year continues in Minnesota as the Twins have not been able to recover from their 0-9 season start. Sitting at 18-41 overall, Minnesota is dead last and 15 games behind Cleveland in the AL Central Division. Although they are offensively challenged, with just 225 total runs scored, the Twins 5.08 pitching staff ERA is a big problem as it is the second worst mark in the Majors.

MLB Betting Advice: Boston Gains a Pitching Matchup Advantage With Steven Wright

Playing in his second full season with the Red Sox, RHP Steven Wright (6-4 ERA 2.29) gets the call for Boston tonight. Wright owns the best starters ERA in Boston, ahead of David Price and Clay Buchholz, and he has allowed just four runs over 21 innings pitched during three straight wins. Back-to-back five walk outings are a slight concern but in Wright we trust tonight.

Sophomore RHP Tyler Duffey (2-4 ERA 4.79) heads to the hill for Minnesota. After posting a 1.85 ERA during his first three outings this season, Duffey has been shaky while allowing 20 runs over 22.2 innings pitched during his last four starts. This is Duffey’s first career start against Boston and we don’t see it going very well for him. Load up on the Beantown Bombers in this contest.

MLB Prediction: Boston ten-unit money line wager (-135) at the William Hill sportsbook.
