Blue Jays at Angels Odds: Sunday Night Baseball Picks

Toronto at Los Angeles MLB Odds

My Team's Next MatchToronto Blue Jays

Blue Jays Probable Pitchers: Stroman, Marcus (1-2, 4.05 ERA)
Angels Probable Pitchers: Wright, Daniel (0-0, 6.75 ERA)
Canada Sports Betting Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-105) at Sports Interaction

It’s Sunday baseball, and the last place Toronto Blue Jays (4-13) continue their 4 game series in Los Angeles. After the Angels (8-11) won 5-4 on Saturday, Toronto looks to bounce back. Neither team has been consistent, as the home side has only won 2 in 11 games after a short win streak earlier in the season, and the Blue Jays… well we know their offensive struggles.

Marcus Stroman (1-2, 4.05 ERA) takes the mound for the visitors. After a successful first appearance, the left hander suffered a hard knock loss, pitching a complete game to the Brewers, and had a significantly worse last game against Boston, giving up 6 runs off 11 hits in 4.2 innings. Apart from this decline, he doesn’t have good numbers against the Angels either, with a 0-1 record and 8.74 ERA in 3 appearances against them.

Jesse Chavez was supposed to start for the Los Angeles Angels, but he was used in relief during Friday’s game. Right hander Daniel Wright was called up from Triple A Salt Lake to make the start instead. In his last appearance, he gave up 3 runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. He has 5 starts last year, going 1-3 in them. Of note though, was a loss to Toronto, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings.

MLB Picks Today – April 23, 2017

If Toronto won their last game against the Angels, they would be the play here, but we still don’t see any value in them. Their offense is still a major issue, especially now with Troy Tulowitzki on the DL. Their pitching isn’t that much better in this matchup either, with his lackluster numbers against the team. Not only that, the Blue Birds are only 1-6 in Stroman’s last 7 road starts. It’s best not to overthink this one. The Blue Jays might very well end up the better team, but right now in this spot, the value’s on Los Angeles. Take the Los Angeles Angels at -105 at Sports Interaction

Stanley Cup 2019 Odds: Tavares & Toronto Favorites?
Toronto will remember July 1st, 2018 not as Canada Day, but Tavares Day, after the pride of Mississauga was liberated from the New York Islanders. This stunning coup solidifies the Leafs top-line talent for the next half-decade, creating a long window of opportunity for Toronto’s long-suffering franchise. The Maple Leafs odds to win the Stanley Cup in 2019 jumped to +700 after the announcement, better than the Lightning, Bruins and Golden Knights. Toronto’s finally positioned as favorites to win their first ring since 1967, despite questions surrounding their blueline and goaltending.
