Best MLS Picks Today April 8, 2017
MLS Schedule & Scores April 2017
There are plenty of great matchups this weekend in the MLS.
Toronto FC host Atlanta United in what is sure to be much more eventful than the Reds’ 0-0 draw against Sporting KC last week. Expect newcomers Atlanta to continue their unexpected early form and take the game to an undefeated Toronto side that is yet to reach its best form. Clear conditions at BMO should make for an entertaining match that will be won by the home side.
Try your luck with a 3-1 scoreline to the hosts.
Another notable matchup this weekend is Saturday’s match between the Chicago Fire and the Columbus Crew. This fixture always draws interest considering the relatively short distance between the sides, and with the Crew out to an early conference lead and the inclusion of Bastian Schweinsteiger in the Fire’s midfield, this meeting looks to be one of the most anticipated.
Expect the Crew’s solid form to continue as they pick up what is now deemed a good point in Chicago. L.A. Galaxy vs. Montreal Impact Highlights
It is early on in the 2017 MLS season, but after four fixtures each both the L.A. Galaxy and Montreal Impact were desperate to recover from less than impressive starts to the campaign on Friday. Both sides had accumulated just three points before their matchup – the Galaxy had lost three of their four while the Impact had shared the points on their last three outings.
The Impact was expected to come into this fixture with the most confidence having played away from home in three out of four games so far. Although they were cruelly denied a win last time out against the Chicago Fire, the club would have certainly been happy with another point away to one of the biggest teams in the league… But the Galaxy had other plans!
The Galaxy had three of their big-name stars available for their clash against the Whitecaps in Vancouver last week, yet despite leading at halftime ended up gifting the ‘Caps their first win of the year. A major turnaround was required to catch up with the teams atop the Western Conference standings and the American side accomplished the job.
