2016 NFC North Futures Betting Lines
The Minnesota Vikings ended the Green Bay Packers‘ dominance over the NFC North last season, and it’s given a new outlook to the division. Many are looking for the Vikings to repeat this year. The team isn’t as star studded as Green Bay, but they have a more consistent team. If Teddy Bridgewater gets injured, it’s not the end of their season, whereas it would be a gigantic blow if Rodgers gets damaged as the season progresses. They have a strong defense to rely on. Looking at the odds the +225 seems like a good pick as the fight will be between the Vikings and Packers, but let’s look at Mike McCarthy’s team first.
2016 NFL NFC North Outright Betting Lines
The Packers actually seem to be around what the line suggests. Rodgers will bounce back after his down year. RB Eddie Lacy is back in shape and will perform as he is supposed to this season. This team won’t be the same team we saw last season, and will win this division with at least 11 wins. With all the Vikings hype, the odds are still not reflecting this, which is telling. The Green Bay Packers will also be a good ATS play throughout the season, so look out for that.

The Chicago Bears are coming in at +1000. They might actually be undervalued here, but with John Fox, expect a lot from the Bears’ defense. While we won’t be taking them to win the division, look for them to have great value ATS. If they were in another division, they would be getting more respect, but with the Vikings and Pack, the Bears will most likely be third place this year.
2016/17 NFL Schedule and Betting Lines
Bringing up the rear are the Detroit Lions. With Megatron’s departure, it’s not looking too good for the Cats. As an essential part of the team, he will be tough to replace. It could mean that defense now won’t exactly know where Stafford will go with the ball, and that might work for a game or two, but in the end the Lions will be exposed. The retention of Jim Caldwell could also be an issue, although the team picked it up in the second half of the 2015 season, going 6-2. If that momentum carries over, there can be some surprises, maybe taking a game from the Vikings, but they won’t be consistent enough to dominate the division for the entire season. We’re going with the obvious pick here, but it has the most value. Take the Green Bay Packers at -167 at Sports Interaction.
