Blackhawks vs Coyotes: Chicago Duels Arizona in the Desert
Though they have been wobbling somewhat, seemingly throughout the season, Chicago is well on their way to a seventh straight playoff appearance. The Hawks are on a 4-1-1 recent run and they last played on Sunday in a 1-0 (OT) home loss to the red hot Rangers. Arizona is still in the hunt for last place overall in the NHL as they are 7-19-4 since the start of January. The Coyotes have 50 points and they “trail” the Sabres (44) and Oilers (47) in the “race” for the NHL basement.
Defending Stanley Cup Champion LA Kings visit Vancouver to clash with the Canucks
Riding a season similar to the one in Chicago,LosAngeles is ninth overall in the West and out of the playoff picture. That said, with games in hand and another 16 contests to go, the Kings are just three points behind the #6seededCanucks. LA has earned at least one point in 12 of their past 15 games. Vancouver, partly with smoke and mirrors, is having a turn around season and they have won two straight games over the Sharks (3-2) on Saturday and vs the Ducks (2-1) on Monday.
