Best CFL Free Picks for Week 7

Another week has arrived for Canadian Football League action, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers remain the hottest team in the CFL. After a truly dominant 31-1 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks, Winnipeg is 5-0 and the class of the league. Will they be able to get to 6-0 this weekend?

Winnipeg will face Hamilton in one of four exciting games on the Week 7 schedule. It'll no question be the Game of the Week, while the BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders will also square off in what figures to be a shootout.

We take a look at those two games and the others in our weekly CFL preview.

Calgary Stampeders set to face the Ottawa Redblacks

This week's showdowns will begin with a battle between Calgary and Ottawa. The Stampeders are 3-2 on the year, while the Redblacks are now 2-3. After winning the first two games of the season, Ottawa has now lost three straight, including an embarrassing 31-1 loss to Winnipeg last weekend.

According to Sports Interaction, Calgary has 1.45 odds to come out on top, as they're 5.5-point favorites.

With Nick Arbuckle continuing his strong play (5 touchdowns, 2 interceptions) in place of Bo Levi Mitchell, Calgary's offense should keep on humming, which will lead to a close win.

Edmonton Eskimos ready to take down the Toronto Argonauts

Things just keep on going from bad to worse for Toronto. After another loss last week, the Argonauts are now 0-5 on the year heading into their game with the Eskimos (3-2).

Both teams are coming off losses last week, but there's no doubt Edmonton is a heavy favorite in this one. With CJ Gable, Trevor Harris and Greg Ellingson fueling the offense, Toronto will have a nightmare trying to slow them down.

The Eskimos hold a convincing 1.20 odds to win this one. They'll cruise to victory over Toronto. You can bet that with confidence.

Can Hamilton upset the undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers?

If you're looking for an electric game to watch come Friday night, look no further than the meeting between the top two teams in the CFL.

Indeed, Winnipeg (5-0) will head to Hamilton to visit the 4-1 Tiger-Cats. No team has been able to slow down the Blue Bombers this season, but Hamilton sure has the tools to pull off an upset. Will they, though?

The Blue Bombers are slight 1.5-pont favorites with 1.76 moneyline odds. In what should be a back-and-forth affair, we're going to go with Winnipeg to improve to 6-0.

Roughriders looking to make it back-to-back wins over the BC Lions

Another game which figures to be a close one will feature the Saskatchewan Roughriders facing off against the BC Lions. These two teams are familiar with one another, having just faced off last week.

The Roughriders had little trouble coming away with a 38-25 win. Now, the pressure is on BC (1-5) to come away with a victory to try and turn their disappointing season around.

1.65

Saskatchewan (2-3) is once again favorited in this one, as they have 1.65 odds to come out on top. Unfortunately for Lions fans, we think the Roughriders make it back-to-back wins over BC.
