Alouettes expected to cruise on the road against Ottawa
This week's action will kickoff with a showdown between the Montreal Alouettes and the Ottawa Redblacks. On paper, this should most certainly be a bit of a cake walk for Montreal, which is 9-8 on the year.
Things have gone downhill fast for the Redblacks, who are 3-14 on the year and have lost 10 consecutive games. That, of course, is the worst streak for any team in the league.
Ottawa is in dead last of the East division and holds the worst record of all CFL squads. They are not expected to turn things around against Montreal.
Entering Friday's showdown, the visiting Alouettes are 9.5-point favorites to come away with a win. Although they'll be playing at home, having the fans in their corner won't help out Ottawa.
We're going with Montreal to leave the stadium with a win and cover the spread at the same time.

Saskatchewan a heavy favorite at home against Edmonton
Among the easiest CFL picks for this week will definitely be taking the Saskatchewan Roughriders to defeat the Edmonton Eskimos on their home turf.
The Roughriders are 12-5 on the year, but are nearly unbeatable in front of their fans, posting a 7-1 home record. Edmonton will try and hand them their second home defeat of the year, but the Eskimos are 3-5 when on the road. Overall, the team is 8-9.
With the two teams all set to meet on Saturday, the Roughriders will enter that game as 7.5-point favorites, with 1.91 odds to cover the spread. This speaks to how much better they are on both sides of the ball.
Some out there may think this will be a close one, but we're expecting Saskatchewan to dominate from the opening whistle. Take them to cover the spread.
Toronto will need more than luck taking on Hamilton
The offense of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats continues to sizzle and it has no question powered them to a 14-3 record. The best team in the CFL, Hamilton has won five games in a row, which has no doubt upped their best Grey Cup odds.
This week, they'll host the 4-13 Toronto Argonauts. Toronto's defense has been abysmal. Think they'll be able to contain receiver Brandon Banks?
The superstar wideout now leads the CFL with his 1,550 receiving yards. Last week, he made a big claim for MOP honors, hauling in 11 balls for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Those are video game-type numbers.
With Banks and others dominating on the gridiron, they'll take on Toronto as 13.5-point favorites.
Make no mistake about it, Hamilton is the best team in the league. They'll have no problems covering that spread against the Argonauts.
Will BC be able to keep things close at home against Calgary?
In what should be the closest game of Week 21, the BC Lions will host the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday night.
The Stampeders, 11-6 on the year, are 6.5-point favorites to head to BC and take down the 5-12 Lions.
While Calgary most certainly has the better offense and defense, BC won't go down without a fight despite losing back-to-back games.
Although Calgary should come away with the victory, we like the Lions' CFL odds of keeping things close and covering the spread.
