Belgium vs England will kickoff at 10 am ET on Saturday, July 14 and will be played at Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
There is no telling which teams will run out on Saturday given that the match is effectively meaningless, so it will be best to hold off on any bets until the lineups are announced (approximately one hour prior to kick off.
There is still value in placing a bet early though, and given our opinion on the match we believe Belgium will come out with more intent and claim the win.
More Betting Opportunities
Remember that the head to head market is relevant for the result at the end of 90 minutes, and in the event of the match going to extra time or penalties the 'draw' option would be the winner.
If you think there is the possibility of extra time, as we do, the 'will there be an overtime' market from Sports Interaction is paying +236. Belgium's only other third-place playoff went to extra time, so it's not a scenario that's totally out of the question.
If you would rather take the option of picking which team will progress, Betway offer a 'to win third place' line, and are paying -138 for a Belgian win regardless of whether penalties are required to separate the teams. England are paying +110, and this market offers great value for both sides - if you can pick the winner.
Of course, there are plenty of other markets that could provide a decent outlay, and may be a safer bet than the head to head opportunities.
Both teams have excellent players up front, and therefore the ‘both teams to score’ line comes into play. We’re all for it, and recommend placing a wager on ‘yes’ at -200.
Eden Hazard has already won two man of the match awards in this tournament (against Tunisia and Japan), and was easily the best player on the field against Brazil despite missing out on the honour. His tireless work rate in that match didn't earn a goal but we have a feeling he won't be empty handed in this match. At +163 there's great value on offer, but ensure the player is starting before placing a bet!
We think Belgium are good enough to score in both halves, which is paying a healthy +171.
Picking the correct score is tough, although there's plenty of reward for your risk. At +1300, our 3-1 prediction is not one of the favourites, and will therefore offer plenty in return.
