BRAZIL vs PERU
Host nation Brazil has made it to the final of the Copa America and will be the heavy favourite to take home their first major national trophy since the 2002 World Cup.
While they weren't dominant in their semi-final against Argentina, they did enough to keep Lionel Messi quiet, and if they can repeat that performance they should comfortably beat Peru.
Yet the Peruvians will come into this match full of confidence after emphatically taking care of defending champions Chile 3-0. For Peru, a win in this match would mean a trophy for the first time since 1975.
It is a mismatch on paper, with Brazil easily the stronger of the two sides. Yet, strange tings can happen in soccer, particularly in competitive finals. The odds on Brazil winning in regulation time are very low, although justified considering they haven't conceded a goal at the tournament and have scored ten times.
We can't see any other result here. Go for Brazil (1.32) to win the Copa America!
ARGENTINA vs CHILE
It's never easy to come so close and lose at the semi-final stage, yet one of these teams can still snatch a consolation bronze medal.
Argentina's performance against Brazil was worthy of more than the 2-0 defeat, and they should be favoured to win this one against Chile. However, you have to consider that this is a match that neither team really want to be a part of.
For that reason, we expect an open match with plenty of chances. Go for Both teams to score (1.85).
BRAZIL vs ARGENTINA
The fixture that everyone wanted to see will be played on Tuesday 2nd July and feature some of the biggest names in world soccer.
While Lionel Messi and his superstar Argentine lineup are a strong team, they will face a Brazilian team that outstrips them on paper, and the fact that the match will be played on Brazilian soil only adds to the reasons why the hosts are the favourites here.
After struggling initially in the group stage, Argentina cruised to the semi-finals with a win over Venezuela. Brazil were much less convincing, needing a penalty shootout to overcome Paraguay. Perhaps the pressure of favouritism is getting to the hosts?
This is a tough one to call, and given the number of matches at this tournament that have been drawn, it looks to be the safe bet. Remember that the moneyline market relates to the score at the end of 90 minutes. Go for the draw (3.54).
PERU vs CHILE
No one predicted that these two teams would be facing off in the semi-final. While Chile are two-time defending champions and know how to navigate the knockout stages, Colombia was seen as the favourite to progress in their match.
The same can be said about Uruguay, yet Peru also did enough to see them off. Both matches finished scoreless and both went to penalties, and there is a sense that this one could go the same way.
But although three of the four quarter-finals finished in a penalty shootout, something has to give here. Chile have enough in their attacking arsenal to beat Peru in regulation time, so we're predicting Chile to win here (2.05).
Quarter Finals Picks
BRAZIL vs PARAGUAY
The first of the four quarter-finals should be won by Brazil, who has coasted so far in this tournament. The only concern here is that they may already have one eye on a potential semi-final matchup with Argentina. Paraguay's defence has been good throughout the event, although it's hard to see them scoring against Brazil. So, instead of picking Brazil head to head (1.18), go for 'No' in Both Teams To Score (1.45).
VENEZUELA vs ARGENTINA
Argentina made a very slow start to this tournament and has only scraped through to the quarter-finals with a win over Qatar, yet they have arguably the easiest of the QF opponents in Venezuela. Argentina's side, while unpredictable, should still do enough to progress in regulation time. Go for Argentina to beat Venezuela (1.60).
COLOMBIA vs CHILE
Colombia has won all three games so far and on paper are superior to Chile. Yet, Chile are the dual defending champions and know how to win the tournament. They also knocked out Colombia in the semi-finals of the previous Copa America. This is a match that has a very high chance of being decided by extra-time and penalties, so the smart bet is the draw (3.20), as this relates to the 90 minute scoreline.
URUGUAY vs PERU
Peru are coming off a 5-0 drubbing by hosts Brazil, while Uruguay looked relatively comfortable in topping Group C. This is another match that looks straight forward - Uruguay should win this match in regulation time. Go for Uruguay (1.73).
Round 3 Picks
PERU vs BRAZIL
This is the final group game for these teams, and on paper the Brazilians are far too strong for Peru. However, keep in mind that Brazil may rest players heading into the knockout stage, so there's always the potential for an upset here. Rather than risk a bet on Brazil at low odds (1.33), we recommend betting on the under 2.5 total goals line (2.12).
QATAR vs ARGENTINA
Argentina fell to Colombia in the first match of the tournament, and won't be assured progression unless they beat Qatar here. It looks like a mismatch, although Qatar showed great fight in their 2-2 draw with Paraguay. Argentina (1.28) should comfortably win but there are better odds on the OVER 2.5 goals (1.71), which is the smart pick.
COLOMBIA vs PARAGUAY
Colombia are the hot favourites in this match, although like Brazil may rest key players heading into the elimination rounds. Paraguay will be desperate to qualify after a poor result against Qatar, although they don't have the star power to trouble the Colombians, regardless of their starting lineup. Go for Colombia here (2.75).
CHILE vs URUGUAY
This is perhaps the match of the round and will feature some incredibly talented players. Both teams have scored plenty of goals already, although we may see a more even affair in this match. We're predicting a draw (3.25) and UNDER 2.5 goals (1.68).
Round 2 Picks
BRAZIL vs VENEZUELA
Brazil started slowly in their opening match against Bolivia, although the 3-0 scoreline was reflective of the match as a whole. They will find it slightly more difficult against Venezuela, although should manage a win (1.14). Given that Venezuela's first match finished 0-0, there is a decent chance that this match will feature under 2.5 goals - this bet is available for great odds (2.39).
BOLIVIA vs PERU
Peru's 0-0 start to the campaign mirrored the nation's pre-tournament form, and while they are cler favourites in this match it's still hard to be confident they can win. Bolivia played well against hosts Brazil, and will aim up in a game they have an outside chance of getting a result in. This one could go either way, but we're confident there won't be many goals. We're picking the draw (3.77) and also under +2.5 goals (1.66).
COLOMBIA vs QATAR
Colombia impressively weathered an Argentinian storm before pouncing late to record a memorable victory in their opening game. They now have Group B at their mercy, and will easily defeat Qatar despite the odds being quite generous for what should be a one-sided match (1.31). Colombia will simply be too strong.
ARGENTINA vs PARAGUAY
It wasn't a great start for Argentina, although they are still a very good chance of picking up the points needed to progress to the quarter-finals. Paraguay look to be in good shape, although we expect Argentina to bounce back and record a victory, and the head to head Copa America odds are very nice here (1.50).
Round 1 Picks
BRAZIL vs BOLIVIA
Brazil are favourites for the tournament on thier home turf and should easily beat Bolivia in the opening fixture, especially after their 7-0 win in their recent warm-up. While the head to head (1.08) is an obvious pick, we're also going to go with over +2.5 goals in the match (1.47).
VENEZUELA vs PERU
Peru are the slight favourites here, although it's hard to pick a winner as neither team made a notable impression in the pre-tournament friendly matches. With so much at stake in this pool match, there's a very good chance of a draw, and you rarely see odds this low for the result. Go for the draw (2.96).
ARGENTINA vs COLOMBIA
The first heavyweight clash should see Lionel Messi in action, in what could be his last international tournament. Colombia has had a great preparation and will be tough opponents, although Argentina should have enough strike power to finish on top here. Go for Argentina at great odds (2.21).
PARAGUAY v QATAR
Qatar has been invited to participate in this year's Copa America, and we expect participation to be as good as it gets for the Asian nation. While Paraguay aren't one of the highest-ranked sides at the 2019 event, Qatar shouldn't get close in this match, especially on the South American continent. Paraguay to win (1.67)

Copa America 2019 Predictions
It's not always wise to pick the favourite when betting on outright soccer markets, although in this case Brazil are very difficult to overlook when looking to pick the winner of the 2019 Copa America.
The South American giants have won all four prior tournaments when they have been the sole host, and their current squad has incredible depth.
So impressive is the nation's depth that Brazil will have to choose between Premier League standout goalkeepers Ederson and Alisson when selecting their starting eleven, while Tottenham star Lucas Moura is one of several big names to miss out despite scoring a hat-trick in his side's recent Champions League semi-final win.
With talent all over the pitch and home-ground advantage, it's no surprise that Brazil are number-one in our Copa America 2019 predictions, and they represent great pre-tournament value at odds of up to 2.50 to win the event outright.
Can Argentina win the Copa America
Argentina are arguably the most unlucky nation in the recent history of the Copa America. After their last victory at the 1993 event, the Argentines have made the final of the tournament four times and lost on each occasion. Incredibly, their last three tournament losses were all decided by penalties - once against old foes Brazil and twice in successive years against Chile.
Remarkably, Argentina have finished as runners-up 14 times at the Copa America, which is as many times as they have won the tournament. If they could only hold their nerve in a penalty shootout, they would be considered the greatest nation in the history of the event.
So what about their chances in 2019? Well the good news is that Lionel Messi is back training with the squad despite speculation that he was to retire from international soccer after the 2018 World Cup. Although he has often been criticised for his performances in the national team shirt, there's no denying he's one of the best players the world has ever seen, and let's not forget that he single-handedly saved Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers 18 months ago.
Another positive is the return to form of Sergio Aguero, who had been on the outer in recent years. Aguero was one of Manchester City's best in their outstanding 2018/19 season, and the fact that he appears to be enjoying an extended injury-free run is a huge boost to his nation's chances.
There is a good chance that Argentina will make the final in 2019, although if they run into Brazil at any point, it's tough to see them overcoming the hosts. Still, it will be an absolute cracker of a match and one that is a must-watch for any soccer fan.
In terms of odds - Argentina start at around 4.33, so there's value there if you think they can get over the line.
If you aren't sure which team will win the trophy, you can also look at placing a wager on the group winners at the Copa America 2019. There are three groups, and they have been divided evenly according to the most recent FIFA rankings, and so big guns Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay all start in separate groups.
Brazil are the clear favourites in Group A, paying just 1.22, although there is plenty of value in Groups B and C. Argentina will face a strong Colombia side in their first match, while Uruguay will need to hold off two-time defending champions Chile in Group C.
We're going with the favourites in all three groups:
- Group A Winner - Brazil @ 1.22
- Group B Winner - Argentina @ 1.75
- Group C Winner - Uruguay @ 2.08

When Does the Copa America Start

The event gets underway on June 14th, 2019 when Brazil host Bolivia in Sao Paulo, and culminates with the final on July 7th, 2019 in Rio de Janeiro. Below are the key Copa America dates plus all the teams involved in the tournament.

Why is Canada not in the Copa America
The Copa America is only open to the ten nations from CONMEBOL, the South American soccer confederation, plus two guest nations. The Canadian soccer team has yet to be invited to participate in this tournament.
One of the main reasons why Canada can't participate in 2019 is because they are already involved in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will be held during the same three-week period. If you want to place a bet on Canada, there are plenty of CONCACAF Gold Cup odds right here.
