Boston Bruins Odds

As one of the Original Six National Hockey League franchises, the Boston Bruins have a long history and excellent fan base. While the franchise only has six Stanley Cups between 1928 and 2011, the current rendition of the franchise is consistently competitive and almost amongst the top teams in the Eastern Conference. With a good mixture of young talent and veteran players, the Bruins have strong potential for the foreseeable future.

Boston Bruins History

The Boston Bruins are one of the NHL’s Original Six franchises. As is the case with all Original Six NHL franchises, the success of the Boston Bruins is important for the National Hockey League. However, like many of the Original Six franchises, the Bruins went through a lengthy dry spell without a Stanley Cup. The Bruins went 39 years (between 1972 and 2011) without a championship. Since their last Stanley Cup, the Bruins have fielded quality teams and came close to winning another Cup in 2013.

Residing in the Atlantic Division means the Boston Bruins face their biggest rivals four times in the regular season and frequently matchup in the playoffs. While Toronto Maple Leafs fans have a strong distaste for the Boston Bruins, the Montreal Canadiens are Boston biggest and most hated rivals. Any time these two teams square off, bettors and fans are sure for some excitement and excellent betting lines.

Betting on Boston Bruin Games

While the Bruins are currently the fourth option for most Boston sports fans, their games still draw sold-out crowds and plenty of action on online NHL sportsbooks. Whether it the Montreal Canadiens in town or a random Monday night game in Arizona, the Bruins are a franchise that always gets up for its games.

Of course, hockey is a game any team can win on any given night. Always look for good value when betting on the Boston Bruins. That value is often found on the road.

The Bruins were above .500 on the road for three straight seasons (2016 to 2018). Also consider injuries, schedules (whether teams are playing back-to-backs) and recent success before placing any substantial wager on a Bruins game.

The Bruins roster in recent years is built around toughness and tenacious play on defence. Although they have improved their scoring, stars such as Patrice Bergeron (who is one of the best two-way players in the last decade) help the Bruins play their style of hockey.

Betting on Boston Bruin Futures

Like all Boston and New England area sports, the Bruins have a strong foundation and consistently field a competitive team. The Boston Bruins have made the playoffs nearly every season since 2000 and made their way to two Stanley Cup Finals, winning it all in 2011. The Bruins are very well managed and figure to be amongst the top teams in the Eastern Conference for a long run. When checking NHL Futures, expect to see the Bruins with some of the best odds to win the Eastern Conference and Stanley Cup.
