Toronto Raptors @ Golden State Warriors Odds

Can the Raptors continue their amazing form?

Usually the second nights of back to back games in the NBA are understandable let down spots; but not for Nick Nurse and the Toronto Raptors.

In their last 7 games that have been on the second night of a back to back, they have covered every single time.

Now on Wednesday December 12th after dismantling the LA Clippers at the Staples centre, they travel to the Bay area to take on the Golden State Warriors in a rematch of what was so far the NBA game of season.

Was a 131-128 Raptors triumph at the Air Canada Centre. The Raptors were favored by an eye-opening -9.5 points, and looked like they were going to cover the number going away early on, leading by 13 points after 1 quarter.

The Warriors who were without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green due to injury were not themselves, but in what many billed as an early NBA Finals preview, the two time reigning NBA Finals MVP, Kevin Durant would not let the Warriors go out looking like chumps.

KD v Kawhi

Without another former Finals MVP in Kawhi Leonard on him for most of the night Durant proceeded to drop 51 points, and overcame a 6 point deficit in the final minute by draining a pair of high difficulty 3 pointers. Ultimately the Raptors prevailed in OT, and now we get round 2 in Oakland tonight.

And what favors the Raptors being able to compete with Golden State for four quarters is that they took care of business early last night in Los Angeles by gaining a large lead and never letting the Clippers back into the game. The starters did not have to play extended minutes so they should be relatively fresh. Speaking of fresh, Kawhi Leonard got last night off so he will be fully charged and ready to try and slow down Kevin Durant who always seems to have huge games vs. the Raptors.

On the other side of the ball however, this will be the strongest Golden State Warriors team that we have seen all season with their 4 all stars back in the lineup and ready to reestablish their dominance in the NBA. In what will be another great game to watch, the Raptors will linger around the number for most of the game but ultimately the home side will put it away late.

PICK: Warriors -5.5 (-110) on BET365

Kevin Durant vs the Raptors

in 19 career games vs Toronto, Kevin Durant has averaged 27.6 points per contest

Overall records vs ATS records

If we are talking about just winning basketball games, the Warriors and the Raptors will likely wind up with the 2 best records in the NBA this season.

HOWEVER, for online betting purposes, always backing the best teams may not be a profitable long term strategy. After just under 30 games so far in the 2018/ 2019 NBA season the Raptors are 14-15 ATS and the Dubs are 13-15.
