Mexican Grand Prix Betting

Formula 1 heads to Mexico City on SundayOctober 30, 2022, for the first of the final 5 races of the season. The Mexican Grand Prix odds always garner a lot of attention as the race takes place at the business end of the season.

The Mexican Grand Prix takes place at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, featuring a 71 lap race. The course was first introduced as a championship event in the 60s’ and then again between 1986-1992. However, it wasn’t until 2015 that the Mexico City circuit returned to the Grand Prix tour.

The circuit has an extremely fast final corner, which is banked allowing for extra speed into what is a very long start/finish straight. The track is situated in a public park in the South-East of the city and is in an oval shape.

The F1 odds for the Mexico Grand Prix aren’t normally available until the previous race has taken place and the odds can be calculated based on current performance. Past Winners at the Mexican Grand Prix

Sadly, the 2020 event didn’t take place, as was the case for many sporting events, due to the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the globe and put a stop to many planned events, including the 2020 Olympics.

The most recent F1 event took place in 2019 when Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc achieved pole position with a time of 1:15.024. However, he wasn’t able to make it onto the podium and ended up finishing in fourth.

There were no surprises as to who was atop of the podium, as Lewis Hamilton took the top prize with a time of 1:36:48.904. The second spot belonged to Vettel in the Ferrari, the third was Hamilton’s teammate Valtteri Bottas. An exciting race and the first time the reigning champion Hamilton had won in Mexico since 2016.
