The Viral Roundup – Sid Does ‘Em In Editiion
Sidney Crosby scores the win over Montreal, the Mavs crush the Clippers and Andrew Luck's likely gone for a month or more. Here's the minty fresh world of sports you're waking up to on November 12, 2015.

Did You Hear?

Sidney Crosby put in the shootout winner in a 4-3 Pittsbugh win over Montreal. Crosby notched two assists in the win and Pascal Dupuis notched his second marker of the seasons for the Pens as they improved tp 10-5-0 on the year. (Pittsburgh were a -150 favourite going in.) P.K. Subban racked up two assists in a losing effort. Habs goalie Carey Price is still in phaysical rehab mode and should be back some time soon.

Did You See?

College football’s amping up the intensity as bowl games and the national title looms on the horizon. SB Nation’s Easy Call once again combines food, booze and a crystal ball to discuss the upcoming week in college showdowns. Speaking of colossal matchups, #6 Baylor is currently favoured by a field goal at home versus #12 Oklahoma. (Baylor was originally favoured by six.) This Big 12 clash is going to have huge consequences for the College Football Playoff picture.

Did You Know?

- DeAndre Jordan finally made his 2015-16 appearance in Dallas, but it was Dirk Nowitzki that stole the show on Wednesday. Nowitzki provided 31 points and Zaza Pachulia notched a double-double in the Mavs’ 118-108 victory. Blake Griffin sccored 21 points in a losing cause. This ranks as the ninth straight time that Toronto’s beat Philadelphia.

- We’re getting a smidge more information on how Andrew Luck’s doing beyond “gone for a while.” The initial report of two-to-six weeks given by the Colts is being countered by an ESPN report that has Indy’s franchise QB on the shelf for at least a month with a lacerated kidney and partially torn abdominal muscle. 40-year-old veteran pivot Matt Hasselbeck will take over the position during Luck’s absence and he’s put in some quality performances as a substitute in 2015. Hasselbeck notched wins over Houston and Jacksonville in his two starts this year. The 4-5 Colts have a bye in Week 10 and will get back to action on November 22 in Atlanta. Oddsmakers list the Colts as a 28/1 bet to win the Super Bowl after opening the season as a 14/1 wager.
