Saints vs Cowboys Sunday NFL Week 16 Online Handicapping
National Football League action takes us to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 1 PM ET when the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys collide with the playoffs on the line. Dallas is in need of a fourth-straight win if it wishes to grab a playoff spot. New Orleans has won the previous three road games in this series. New Orleans is still a threat, which is why we will back the Saints.
New Orleans Saints: Playing to prevent playoff dreams
New Orleans still has an outside shot to make the playoffs, they have yet to be mathematically eliminated, but will be more focused on preventing the Cowboys from coming closer to a playoff spot. The Saints are 6-8 overall and have just two wins on the road this season. They are still a very powerful team to play with Drew Brees under center, which is why they should be able to knock off the Cowboys this weekend.
Dallas Cowboys: Seeking fourth straight win as playoffs within reach
Dallas can move one step closer to a playoff spot with a fourth consecutive win on Sunday, but that will not come easily with the Saints in town. The Cowboys have lost their last three home games against the Saints. Dallas is 8-6 overall and 4-3 at home this season. The Cowboys have trailed in the fourth quarter of each game during their current win streak before mounting a comeback to grab a win.
As the holidays draw closer, one thing the Cowboys want is to make it to the post-season after winning three straight games and pulling into a tie for first in the NFC East. They will be presented with a tough task on Sunday when the Saints come to town though. The online sportsbook at Bodog.ca has the Saints at +3 (-130) against the Cowboys. We will put our money down on the Saints this weekend.
