NHL 2013-14 Stanley Cup Championship Chase Real Race Begins Tonight
Pardon our excitement but – the chase to become Stanley Cup Champions officially begins tonight. With the stars of the NHL back from the Sochi 2014 Olympic Hockey tournament, some of them more “Golden” than others, a brimming slate of 12 games is featured on the Bodog betting board today. Our focus is on the Toronto Maple Leafs vs New York Islanders contest that’s set for 7:00 PM ET on February 27, 2014, from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. The Olympics were not kind to the Islanders Hockey Nation.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Looking to restore their winning run
One team that probably didn’t appreciate the timing of the Olympic “interruption” was Toronto. Hotter than a pistol, with wins in eleven of their last 14 games prior to the break, the Maple Leafs have built a six point lead in the top Wild Card playoff position race. Being as Boston has three games in hand on Toronto, the Leafs probably won’t catch the Bruins for top spot in the Atlantic Division but a postseason berth is well within their grasp and control.
New York Islanders: Cursing the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games
NHL stars sustaining an injury during the Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey tournament has long be a shouting point for those opposed to the pros playing for their Country and a Gold Medal every four years. Those setiments are now being echoed even louder since NY Islanders Captain and Team Canada star John Tavares ripped up his medial collateral ligament and meniscus in his left knee during the quarterfinals of the Olympics. While this is bad break for Tavares – the Islanders are 12 points out of a playoff spot and weren’t going to make the postseason party.

The third largest bank in Canada will pay $800 million for the privilege, raising the bar for naming rights across North America.
Handicappers who convince themselves - and anyone else who will listen - that the Kentucky Derby is just another race probably haven't cashed too many tickets on the first Saturday in May. The truth is people should bet the Derby differently because of just how unlike any other race it is.
Instead of trying to figure out which backup National Football League players are better than others, while betting on NFL preseason action, we turn to fight for first in Canadian Football League. Looking like the cream of the CFL crop, Calgary is in British Columbia and the Stampeders lead the Lions by a half game in the West Division. Meeting for the third time this season, these rivals hit the gridiron at 10:00 PM ET on August 19, 2016, at BC Place in Vancouver.
The 50th edition of the greatest sporting spectacle on Earth, Super Bowl 2016, is almost here and NFL fans around the globe are tingling with excitement.
