Looking to bounce back from a rough early season start, today we look at some mid-range money line favorites as we piece together a winning Week 2 National Football League parlay ticket. We see the Seahawks continuing to soar and expect a rebound effort from the Patriots and Buccaneers as we peruse the betting board at William Hill. NFL Week 2 action begins the early games at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, September 14, 2014.
New England Patriots vs Minnesota Vikings: Parlay Leg One
Not reading a whole lot into the Week 1 win by Minnesota, or the loss by New England, we like the Patriots as road chalk versus Minnesota as the opening leg of our parlay. QB Tom Brady and Crew head out on the road for a second straight week after they were pummeled by the Dolphins in the second half of their 33-20 loss in Miami last Sunday. This is a veteran Patriots squad and we see them rebounding here. The Vikings sailed into St. Louis and rolled the Rams 34-6 to open their season. If not for the Oakland Raiders, and perhaps in spite of them, the Rams may own the worst offense in the entire league. Add in the turmoil surrounding RB Adrian Peterson, who won’t play in this contest after being deactivated by the Vikings, and the edge goes to New England here.
Super Bowl Champs continue to roll as Bucs look to bounce back
Forget about Super Bowl hangovers as far as the Seattle Seahawks are concerned. The Champs were impressive as they opened their title defense with sound thumping of the Packers during NFL Kickoff Thursday action. The Seahawks didn’t skip a beat as they were rock solid on offense and spectacular on defense. Despite being on the road, the Hawks are rested and get a San Diego squad that lost 18-17 to Arizona on Monday Night Football. As mentioned above, the Rams are abysmal on offense and they now head out on the road to face Tampa Bay who fell just short of a comeback in their 20-14 Week 1 home loss to Carolina. Concerned by the injuries to Bucs RB Doug Martin, we still see the Bucs defense providing the winning edge in this contest.

Handicappers who convince themselves - and anyone else who will listen - that the Kentucky Derby is just another race probably haven't cashed too many tickets on the first Saturday in May. The truth is people should bet the Derby differently because of just how unlike any other race it is.
Instead of trying to figure out which backup National Football League players are better than others, while betting on NFL preseason action, we turn to fight for first in Canadian Football League. Looking like the cream of the CFL crop, Calgary is in British Columbia and the Stampeders lead the Lions by a half game in the West Division. Meeting for the third time this season, these rivals hit the gridiron at 10:00 PM ET on August 19, 2016, at BC Place in Vancouver.
