NFL 2014 Divisional Playoffs: Seahawks and Patriots are Favorites

NFL Divisional playoff action is a close third, behind Conference Championship Sunday and the Super Bowl, as our favorite games of the season. Two of four teams will stay alive in the 2014 NFL postseason as Seattle hosts New Orleans and Indianapolis travels to New England today. The Seahawks vs. Saints clash gets the excitement started at 4:35 PM ET on January 11, 2014, from a loud and proud CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.

Seattle Seahawks: Road to Super Bowl XLVIII begins at home

Well rested following a bye week during the first round of the postseason, Seattle’s road to Super Bowl Sunday at MetLife Stadium begins where they are at their best – CanturyLink Field. Despite a slight stumble, as their offense stalled in a 17-10 home loss to Arizona back in Week 16, The Link is still the toughest place to visit in the NFL as the Seahawks are on a 15-1 run there over the past two years. This is a rematch of two recent games versus New Orleans in Seattle and the Hawks won both; 38-34 in the 2011 Wild Card playoffs and 34-7 during 2013 Week 13 MNF action. The Saints, on the road for a second straight week, are in trouble here. Expect the Hawks to win big.

New England Patriots: Ready to continue illustrious playoff history

Back at the playoff party for the 16th time in 20 years, New England can play in their eighth AFC Championship in thirteen years with a win over the upstart Indianapolis Colts. When it comes to carving up a team following a bye week – not many have been better than Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and QB Tom Brady. Despite a season of turmoil (Wes Welker to Denver and Aaron Hernandez to prison) plus major injuries (Rob Gronkowksi & Shane Vereen) the beat goes on in Foxboro as the Pats recorded a fourth straight 12+ win season with a 12-4 record. We like the moxie of QB Andrew Luck and the Colts but we can’t bet against the Brady Bunch at home here. NFL Division Playoff Weekend Odds & Canada Sports Betting Predictions Consistently ranked as one of the best online sportsbooks for bettors from Canada, and around the globe for that matter, provides the odds for our Saturday NFL Divisional playoff predictions. Both home teams are thick chalk as Seattle is posted at -7.5 (-105) ATS and -370 S/U while the Patriots are -7 (-115) ATS and -310 on the money line. Bank a nice chunk of change with a SEA -7.5 (-105) ATS and NE -310 ML two pick parlay.
