MLB Parlay Betting: Playoff Contenders Send Out Their Studs
Washington Nationals: Aiming for an eighth straight victory
Washington is closing in on their franchise record of ten straight wins as they seek an eighth straight win tonight. Their current mark was accomplished four times – most recently during the 2005 MLB season. Getting to eight wins is pretty good bet as RHP Stephen Strasburg (9-10 ERA 3.53) heads to hill to battle Arizona at Nationals Park in the District. RHP Chase Anderson (7-4 ERA 3.16) gets the call for the Diamondbacks in this contest.
Seattle Mariners: Look to maintain grip on Wild Card playoff position
Though not quite as hot as the Nationals, Seattle has been streaking as well as the Mariners have won seven of their last ten games. That hot run has moved Seattle into a tie with the tanking Detroit Tigers for the final American League Wild Card position. RHP Hisashi Iwakuma (11-6 ERA 2.72) has been lights out recently as he has allowed just two runs over 21.1 innings pitched in August. RHP A.J. Burnett (6-13 ERA 4.35) starts for the Phillies.
