Florida State vs Auburn: NCAAF 2013 BCS National Championship
Florida State: Seeking first National Championship since 1999
A final farewell to the controversial Bowl Championship Series is going to be a beauty. Seeking their first NCAAF National Championship, since they crushed the Virginia Tech Hokies 46-29 at the Louisiana Superdome in 2000, Florida State rolls into Pasadena as the #1 team college football. The Seminoles recorded a perfect 13-0 regular season record and won the ACC Championship when they bashed the then #20 Duke Blue Devils 45-7 back on December 7, 2013. Florida State is led by a super stout defense and freshman QB Jameis Winston who had an outstanding season as he passed for 3820 yards and scored 42 total touchdowns with just 10 interceptions.
Auburn Tigers: SEC Champs aim for second BCS title in four seasons
Winners of nine straight games to close out their 2013 NCAAF season, the Auburn Tigers (12-1) are looking for a repeat of their 22-19 win over Oregon in the 2010 BCS Championship played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix back on January 10, 2011. The Tigers are mirror opposite to the Seminoles as they rely on an electrifying run game as QB Nick Marshall and RB Tre Mason combined for 2,644 rush yards and 33 touchdowns. Auburn led the Nation with 4,364 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns while playing out of the ultra-tough SEC Conference. The Tigers are in tough here as the Florida State allowed an NCAAF low 10.7 points per game this season.
