Duel in the Desert: Seattle vs New England Super Bowl XLIX Prediction

Duel in the Desert: Seattle vs New England Super Bowl XLIX Prediction
Kickoff for Super Bowl XLIX is now mere hours away and the anticipation level has just about maxed out as Seattle and New England prepare to battle for the National Football League Championship. The Seahawks and Patriots will clash for the Vince Lombardi Trophy at 6:30 PM ET on February 1, 2015, in Glendale, AZ. The Legion of Boom vs The Brady Bunch - it should be a beauty game eh?

Rapid fire reasons to the back New England as NFL Champions

Injuries to three of the four Legion of Boom stars, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and now Kam Chancellor who nicked his knee in the Hawks final tune-up on Friday. They will all play but, with wounded wings and stuff, how well is still to be determined. It’s a safe bet that Patriots CB Brandon Browner has given his new team plenty of information on his former team. Marshawn Lynch is Beast Mode, and amazing on the football field, but even he has his team carrying limitations.

Who replaces Golden Tate and Percy Harvin to open things up for Jermaine Kearse and Doug Baldwin? If Kearse visits Revis Island and Browner baffles Baldwin – that leaves Canadian TE Luke Willson on the pass receivers peaking order. Despite listing almost every player on their injury report, like they always do and as the Seahawks did as well, the Patriots are healthy including Tom Brady’s trusted snapper C Bryan Stork (knee) who is now listed as probable and will start in Super Bowl XLIX.

Final thoughts and our Seattle vs New England Super Bowl XLIX Championship call

If we said we had an easy time predicting this epic clash – that would be a lie. We have spent hours upon hours researching both teams and we have eyeball tested them extensively during the regular season and playoffs. Both coaching staffs bring Championship experience into this contest but we feel the Patriots have an edge with Bill Belichick guiding the ship on the New England sideline.

It’s often said “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger” and that will be the case as the Patriots put the social media pummeling behind them and prove their worth on the football field. We see New England as hungrier, healthier and the more playmaker laden squad. Slightly uncomfortable that the public have been pounding the Patriots, we are backing New England with a 200 unit wager on the spread price posted on the betting board at the William Hill online sportsbook.
