Bodog 2014-15 National Hockey League Stanley Cup Futures Odds Update

Bodog 2014-15 National Hockey League Stanley Cup Futures Odds Update
Crunch time is setting in as the National Hockey League regular season playoff race is heading towards a thrilling finish. Eleven teams are legitimately battling for eight spots in the East while the West has twelve contenders. Let's take a look at the revised Stanley Cup Championship futures odds currently posted on the Bodog betting board. Chicago is still the top overall favorite in the NHL.

Blackhawks are still top chalk despite roller coaster style season

Despite being ten points back of the total they had a year ago, Chicago, as they were in the NHL preseason, is posted as the top favorite on the Bodog Stanley Cup futures board. While we don’t think they’ve been playing possum, it’s tough playing in the Western Conference, the Blackhawks are a playoff chase savvy squad who know when to throttle up and down. Chicago is eight points behind the Predators and just four back of the Blues for top spot in the Central Division. Somewhat satisfied with our Western Conference futures wagers, let’s check out the races in the East.

Crosby & Crew are top Eastern Conference favorites to capture Lord Stanley’s Mug

As long as they have two of the best players on the planet, plus a Stanley Cup and Olympic Gold Medal winning goaltender – who is fronted by a solid defense that’s not attack shy, Pittsburgh will always be a Cup contender. Crosby, Malkin, Fleury & Crew are the top favorites out of the East and fourth overall behind the Hawks, Ducks and Predators. Montreal, who sit first overall in the East, are sixth behind the Blues while the Lightning and Islanders are tied for seventh and round out the top four contenders in the East. Don’t count out fast skating and defensive minded Detroit.

NHL Playoff Futures Betting Update: We are going to add Pittsburgh with 200 units, plus Tampa Bay and Detroit with 100 units each, to our threesome (possible twosome) out in the West. There’s no time like the present to get in on NHL futures betting at Bodog. Remember, the numbers will shrink as we get closer to April.
