MLB Schedule Release

The MLB schedule for the upcoming season is released in September – before the end of the previous season. The majority of teams open the season on the first Monday of April, a few teams begin their season the day before. Once the season is over, the MLB announces the schedule for the Wild Card games and Divisional Series.

MLB Schedule Today

With up to 15 games per day, the MLB regular season schedule is anything but quiet.  Bettors can find money lines for every game, every day all season long – with live lines and links to the best betting sites for Canadians. Outside of the All-Star break in July, there are MLB games every day of the season. As some fixtures can be delayed due to inclement weather, some games may be postponed, which leads to some teams playing a doubleheader.

Generally speaking, the MLB does not have any major events during the season. The trade deadline is always a point of emphasis for teams and fans, but it serves as a chance for teams to improve for the short-term or long-term and does not have an impact on the schedule. Checking World Series futures after the trade deadline is common, as contenders often trade away top prospects to shore up holes on their current roster and make a push for the playoffs. Once the season is over, the MLB playoffs take place, starting in October – and occasionally running into early November.

MLB TV Schedule

The MLB is broadcast on Sportsnet and TSN in Canada. Sportsnet holds exclusive rights to all 162 Toronto Blue Jays games and the MLB playoffs, while TSN has the rights to “Sunday Night Baseball” and other top series during the week. Canadians can subscribe to MLB TV to watch all other baseball games not broadcast by TSN or Sportsnet.
