Chelsea FC are one of the most supported clubs in all world football with a far-reaching and faithful fan base. Despite the popular belief that the club’s fans consist entirely of those supporting the team since they were bankrolled by billionaire Roman Abramovich, the West London club has a long and rich history in English football and holds the honor of being sixth on the list of all-time English football attendances.
There is no doubting that Chelsea are currently experiencing their longest run of success in over a century of football. Since 2003 the club has won the Premier League title on four occasions, bettered only by Manchester United in that period. In the 2004/05 EPL season, Chelsea set the current English record for the highest points total in a league season (95), the highest number of victories (29) and the highest number of clean sheets (25) in what was a statement of intent to the rest of the league.
The club has won five FA Cups since the turn of the century, including four out of a possible six between 2007 and 2012. Chelsea also established themselves in Europe, becoming the first London side to have won the UEFA Champions League (doing so in 2012). They are the only English club to have won all four major European trophies.
Throughout this golden period, Chelsea have well and truly spared no expense in bringing the best players and management to the club. Top class players at the peak of their careers like Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres were added to a roster that until the rise of Manchester City was easily the most expensive in the top flight. High profile managers including Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti have held the reigns during this period, although no manager has lasted more than three seasons in a cut-throat environment overseen by Abramovich.
Chelsea are always pushing their rivals for Premier League success, however it remains to be seen whether the side can return to the form of the mid-2000′s where they were overwhelmingly dominant.

Bet On Chelsea Games
Chelsea play with a style that basically screams ‘just try and break us down’. Particularly prevalent under Jose Mourinho, Chelsea are known for narrow wins and clean sheets. Who can forget that infamous game against Liverpool where Steven Gerrard’s slip gifted the Blues the lead and allowed them to ‘park the bus’. While this may not be the most attractive brand of football, it is nonetheless effective and definitely something to consider when looking to place a wager. You will win more than you lose if you bet on the Blues to keep a clean sheet or win by a margin of one goal.
The club’s tendency to grind out results is no more prevalent than at home. Between 2004 and 2008, Chelsea managed 86 consecutive home games without defeat, and their record since then is very very solid. Stamford Bridge has become a fortress since the turn of the century, and you would have to be extremely brave to bet against the Blues on their home patch.
The rise of Chelsea in the last two decades has created a wealth of rivalries across the English Premier League. Traditionally dominant clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United, in addition to the more contemporary giant that is Manchester City all recognize the Blues as a genuine threat to the success craved by their own fans. When these clubs meet you are normally treated to the highest level English Premier League has to offer, and you are also treated to some very generous odds as fans of each club throw cash at their favorite team, convinced of their success.
Closer to home, Chelsea’s longstanding London rivalries with Tottenham and West Ham produce classic fixtures, but arguably their greatest rivalry is with Arsenal. When these two clubs square off there is often more than city pride on the line – picture Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger refusing to make eye contact as they shake hands. Arsenal and Chelsea have also traded big names over the years – Cesc Fabregas, Ashley Cole and Petr Cech just to name a few – which really adds another level to the rivalry.
One thing is a certainty – watching Chelsea play is always an engrossing affair, and with great odds across a variety of lines on all Premier League fixtures the experience becomes even more exciting!
