If there’s one team that a non-hockey fan would say sounds made up, it would be the Columbus Blue Jackets. The relatively new franchise hasn’t done much to gain any traction in the NHL, or gain any real mainstream exposure. Last year, they came in dead last in the NHL’s Metropolitan division, and second worst in the East overall. Since dropping the puck in 2000, the Jackets have yet to find their way into a division title.
They have also obviously never won the Stanley Cup, or a conference title. In fact, they have only 2 playoff appearances in their entire history, and the same amount of playoff game wins. They were swept in their first playoffs appearance by the Detroit Red Wings back in 2009, and more recently fell 4-2 to the Penguins in 2014.

Bet On Colombus Blue Jackets Games
There are big market teams, who are expected to win every year because of their massive payroll, all-world roster, and championship history. The Blue Jackets are not burdened by these things.
But the future does have glimmers of hope. They have a young core group of guys they need to develop. This is the war-cry of any rebuilding team. It’s almost cliche, but it’s the only way the Blue Jackets can find their way out of the basement and into the win column. They have to draft and trade extremely well, without the lure of a big market, or a big payroll to buy their wins. That’s the curse of the small market teams. Being good enough to keep their high draft picks from leaving them to chase the money.
If you’re going to bet on them, they can make you a lot of money of you do it the right way. Few sports favor the smart bettors more than hockey. So, if you can tactfully predict which games they are going to win, you’ve opened the door to great winning potential here.
